Im not talking about MS, im talking about the fanboys

They got mad when it was announced for PC when it was first announced as an exclusive first.

Actually, Tomb Raider wasn't even announced as an exclusive at first. It was just announced at E3 '13 or '14 and then Microsoft worked the exclusivity deal and announced at Gamescon '14 which set off a different firestorm about moneyhats.

I'm so sick of these fanboys everywhere, I get that it will continue to happen but games are supposed to be fun. Anytime you go to any forum or gaming website and read the comments it's a constant bashing of everyone and everything.

(There are some great places and people like OS) but it seems to be shrinking quite a bit.

          2) And no one has mentioned this, why buy an Xbox One, the game and Xbox Live Gold (for online play) when you can play it on PC at a cheaper price and play online for free?

To me, this kind of deal will do more harm than good long term. But whatever.
Your assuming everyone has the PC to run games of this caliber which is far from the case. People buy consoles because its affordable, the specs are what they are there is no upgrading parts down the line. You buy the console the games will work. PC gamers are a very hardcore minority compared to console gamers.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

This is smart imo. I always thought it was silly for Microsoft to ignore its other platform gaming wise. No other company does that.

It's only a matter of time before they finally smarten up and see Xbox as a service, rather than a separate thing and in some weird competition with Windows.
Problem is that without a console, they wouldn't be able to charge for online play since online play is free on PC due to PC being "open" and not a console developed by one manufacturer. Sure, they could do something like a subscription for content in order to get around it but considering Xbox One is outselling Xbox 360 which was awesome, I don't know why they would want to abandon the Xbox console brand.

True, the majority probably don't unless they're PC gamers but my concern is more long term. Instead of spending money on Xbox One and their next console, consumers could just put that money towards a high end PC that will be able to run all those games. I just see this as hurting the Xbox brand long term which makes no sense to me.

Well, no but those fanboys took it that way then ran amok when they found out it was a timed exclusive for PC. I remember youtubers making videos talking about it being XB1 only then mad when it was announced otherwise
Yes, Rise of the Tomb Raider will probably still come to the PC. No, nobody is actually going to say this.

There is no concern. The xbox is not selling like the PS4 but it is selling nonetheless. Having games on PC won't kill off a console because the majority of gamers are not about to go out and make a "killer pc" as you say for one or two games and abandon consoles altoghe. Too much sky is falling there

IMO it's more expensive and a pain to create a great gaming PC...I can get a Xbox One or PS4 for under 400...

Add in that it's more annoying to use/set up on main tvs (my computer also gets used for other things, so would have to be on smaller monitors normally). Also, I like to game upstairs or downstairs...I was able to get 2 consoles cheaper than it'd cost me to have 2 PCs, plus we get all the tv/voice controls....

If I was single with my income and no responsibility I'd have a killer gaming pc...sadly that's not an option now.

I trust that Phil and everyone's doing their best to bring awesome games to the Xbox, and to grow the brand and product. Everything he's done so far has been great, so I'm not really worried....

How would you guys best/easiest sell a Gears of War ultimate game code?

I'm not trying to sell it on here, just figuring out if any stores take these cards, or if I'll have to do craigslist or ebay or something....

I got 2 of them when i traded in my Xboxes for new bundles, so obviously only need one of them. Rather get something for it, even if it's not a lot, and that can go to another game.

I don't get the hoopla over this, the more people playing and paying for a game is a good thing. Imagine if The Show was also available on the Xbox One? More sales, more investment into developing an already great baseball sim (I guess, don't know how things like this truly work).

To me it's very similar to when this generation of consoles were announced and some people picked sides and the battles began. People dif their heels in and will go down swing for the side they invested their money in.

If I was half way decent with computers I would build a gaming rig to have a few games with maxed out graphics and take advantage of MVP 05 mods. I guess at my advanced age, I just like options and buying new things so I don't get caught up in these type of things. That being said, Xbox One owners should not be upset about this. Wasn't cross play between the Xbox console and PC (Windows) always in the cards?

                        Ah well.

To be honest with you, alot of the guys who do this barely even play games. That's the ironic thing about. Some people love to keep the drama going on

I'll never understand the desire to go to "war" over what console you play your games on. I just recently got an XB1 and mostly for the chance to finish Mass Effect when that goes BC, along with some exclusive titles.

I would love it if the gaming community got together to fight console exclusives rather than fight about consoles. But what do I know?
