I wish there was a little nub of a microphone I could plug in to an Xbox controller to use the 'talk to a headset' addition in this latest patch to use Cortana w/out one.

I was thinking the same thing. I feel like if you are using the IR blaster then you likely are using the HDMI in for a cable/sat receiver and using the media apps, and you are likely using voice commands with your kinect. They include the IR blaster to replace the kinect, but then no options for a mic other than a headset. Would be nice if they even just added a USB mic peripheral.

I was looking at remotes that could do the full control of the Xbox app (dvr, numbers, etc.) so I wouldn't always have to turn a controller on...but also the pain that the controller can't do volume. I settled for the base xbox media remote for the time being, but this fall the PDP Talon is releasing which I preorded...essentially is the xbox app remote physical remote including all the xbox face buttons, is officially licensed and isn't a huge clunky universal remote. It also will have a headset port, so put on one of these nub mics and i think it will be the best option.

Definitely not watching. Have already seen enough to know what im getting. Really wish Microsoft would stop showing spoilers in their videos. Microsoft did the same thing with Quantum Break and ended up every awesome segment to where when you played the game, it was like, "I saw this already". After that, im not watching anymore campaign/story videos from Microsoft. Launch trailer will be the next video I watch for Gears of War 4.

Man even my console that is not in the preview program is getting updates frequently. Really annoying when I'm running an ark survival evolved server on it.

Also, Microsoft will not make any more 2TB versions unless they are special edition (ala GOW4)

SSX showed up as ready to install for me today. I'm guessing it was added to the EA Access vault. I don't remember ever buying it digitally.

Makes sense. That keeps the two wallet-friendly options on the market and allows the system to continue to be priced as a direct competitor to the PS4. It also makes those special editions more "special" and helps justify the price.

It was not stopped to justify the purchase. MS is not dumb and know that the 400 unit was just to gain traction on those " I gotta have it early" crowds. It worked as it was sold out in Europe and is selling well from reports in the U.S

That momentum would be short lived however because MS cannot under any circumstances have a 400 unit that offers nothing special over their 300 unit except space.

With PS4 being 350 and it will drop to 300 when NEO comes out at 450, MS cannot have a 400 system that is inferior to the 2 PS4 versions in terms of performance values in the market. That would be a death nail to their sales for the next year.

MS got what it wanted early adopters to jump on their 400 unit. Now they will go with the 300 and 350 madden bundle but that madden bundle will be short lived however and it will come down to being just the 500gb for the next year vs NEO and PS4 vanilla.

MS will be forced to drop 500 gb after holidays to 250 to keep some sales going because at 300 they cannot match PS4 at 300 and NEO at 450

Microsoft should clear out their current base Xbox One stock by lowering them all to $200. I still see the AC Unity bundle in stores. LOL.

The 500GB Slim at $300 will be their main console and im guessing that it will be $200 by the time Scorpio launches.

As for Neo, I still think that it will release at $400. PSVR is $400. The PS4 debuted at $400. I just don't see Sony going higher than $400 for Neo. I will be surprised if they do.

If that thing has no 4K player then maybe 400 but if it does and improve cpu and gpu you are dreaming it will be 400

The Xbox One Slim has the 4K player and starts at $300. Are the improvements between Xbox One Slim and PS4 Neo big enough to justify a $450 price tag?

PS3 at $600 was a disaster and took Sony years to recover from that cluster****. Don't see them doing anything like that again. PS4 Neo 500GB console for $400. That's my prediction. $450 pushes the total cost closer to $500 with tax where as at $400, the total cost is still closer to $400 with tax than it is to $500.

A few more weeks and we'll hopefully know for sure.
