    Re: Xbox One

I'm all digital and would never go back to copies. I love having all my games digital. All my games run off my hdd no stress on my system whatsoever, no getting up and having to switch the dics of the 110 games I have 😁, just quick whatever in playing and select the next game .

I have a 3 year old as well, I'm 100% Digital on my Xbox1 an about 90% on my PS4. When kids are furniture walking(not real walking but going from one piece of furniture to the next), My daughter was about 10 months old and she learned to hit the eject button and saw a disc come out which she proceeded to grab... Lol. Plus, like Jay D, and others digital owners have mentioned, I love the convenience. No lines, No waiting for the store to open, no getting up changing discs, no worrying about storage for games. The true plug and play.

I asked on cheapassgamer and the person to reply said to check the ad and see if it says "in-store only". If not, the deal should be available online.

ALL games run off the HDD regardless if they are digital or physical. The install from the disc is the only real difference. There is no stress on the system.

No question digital is more convenient and we can be lazy and not change discs. But financially it's usually cheaper to buy physical and you can resell them. If money is a concern physical is the best route the majority of the time.

And I had zero issues with my kids and my games. If you are letting your kids scratch or wreck things that is on you.

They do, but the start up even after installing the game, still has the disc spinning in the drive for some time. There's also random times while you're playing where you'll hear the disc spinning.

I went all digital a little over a year ago after having to replace the disc drive in my launch PS4. Only part that upsets me is it took so long for me to do it. Less clutter and way more convenient.

Boy some of you seem like you think Psychical is the dang devil or something lol

Growing up on Snes, N64, etc and such I'd still take the actual cartridges with a real system over some download. Maybe I'm just weird like that but I won't limit it myself to just one like many seemed to wanna do

There is cons and pros to both and I'm kind of in the middle of them both

Nothing against physical copies at all, just a very strong preference. I'm 34, grew up on an NES and everything after that, so physical copies don't scare me by any means. The fact I can't trade in my games is a blessing for me personally. So many times I'd trade in a game just to get the urge to play it a few weeks later and either be SOL or re-buy it and end up spending more on the game than I would have just going digital.

There's no doubt the convenience of digital is HUGE, and once you get used to just switching games from the dashboard it's easy to become spoiled. The freebies and BC titles that were owned before are perfect.

But as far as buying new games, I very rarely hold on to games. I'll get up to 4-5 games max at a time and I'll usually end up trading all of those in at some point going towards something else and offsetting the price of new games by a lot.

Maybe it's gaming ADD, but there's no reason for me to not trade in games. I'm not a collector so if I'm done playing something may as well get value back for it. The whopping 30 seconds and 5 steps to get to the console to switch disc's is doable, lol. And as far as kids, all my games go into a CD case, zipped up and out of reach.

Completely understandable counter-viewpoint....I'm hoping Xbox teasing a trade in program of digital games becomes a reality. No clue how the logistics would work (who takes the hit? MS? Publisher of the game you're trading in? Or of the game you're buying?)

If it's that 10% return they teased in the survey then you take the hit.

I really enjoyed the Wolfenstein remake. Played it after playing Doom and had fun.

I played Metro Last Light on Xbox 360 when it came out a few years ago. Solid game. Don't know about Metro 2077.

Wolfenstein: The New Order was very good. I enjoyed that more than Doom but in fairness, I would much rather fight humans and machines as opposed to demons and other creatures from hell. For $6 though, it's a steal.

Finally bit the bullet, caved, and got an Xbox One on Best Buys website for $179. Refurbished, but I've never had any issues with refurbished products so I think I'm all set.

Coming in the mail on Wednesday. Definitely gotta pick up Gears 4 so I can wash away bad memories of Judgment.
