The manufacturers are just now releasing info on the new TVs for this year. While the KS8000 seems to be the easy pick for gamers, I'm kind of excited to see if this year's models present more choices, with more standard HDR and an emphasis on reducing input lag for gamers.

I think this year will see a serious uptick in 4K TVs for the masses, and by next year we will have reached critical mass, with more people buying the TVs, and hopefully much more content being made for them.

I'm hoping within the next year or so it's actually worth calling DIRECTV and upgrading my cable package to include their 4k content.

If you already have the Genie HR54 then all you need is to have them come out and swap out a Genie mini

Then I gotta up my cable package too right? I'm not sure it's worth it for the 3 or 4 4k channels they have.

I don't think I have the latest genie. Which annoys me since I just had them out here a few months ago to Install a box in the basement.

Edit: just checked. I have the hr44-700.

Been playing a bunch of halo wars 2 this weekend and it has been a blast. Almost done with the campaign and been playing quite a bit of multiplayer.

Surprised how much fun blitz is and since they last 5 to 10 minutes you can get a bunch done. Only had one game go to the time limit.

And even playing against the ai was fun and the only game I lost against them was the stronghold mode which I haven't found a good strategy for yet.

To add 4k will not require you to change your cable package on Directv - it used to but not now. You would have to have the Genie HR54 and a C61K Genie mini though so you'd need to get those changed out...

That's the problem, I haven't finished a quarter of them lol. My son is a pretty big gamer and he has beat a lot of them. [emoji2]

Man I am way too OCD for that. Once I get done with a game, I delete it and remove it from ready to install.

I do the same too, look at mmy waiting to install count, 51 games, all the games that are installed are sill being played.

My son my girl and I still play all those games that's why I don't uninstall.

Anyone here use the IR blaster so you can change channels with your Xbox One controller? I do and have had success with it. But recently when I choose a channel with the controller, say, 804, it will come up 8044. Then I try again and it will come up 8004. It will eventually get it but didn't know if anyone else was having the same thing happen.

I looked in the settings to see if there were a delay of sorts but I don't see anything.
