Sony didn't thrill me this year...I guess being fatigued on uncharted and not the biggest David cage fan don't help. Not seeing many "must haves" for someone who can't find time to play every game out anyways...

Yeah same here. Sony showed a couple good titles but nothing I need to have immediately. My Spider-Man hype even went down a bit since the gameplay reminded me of arkham series way too much. Not really an awful thing just wasn't expecting it.

Microsoft impressed me more this year even though theirs wasn't amazing either. I'll admit streaming Microsoft's in 4k probably played a huge role in that though. Some of the stuff they showed just looked breathtaking graphics wise. They actually made me want to play an assassins creed for the first time in a while. Meanwhile sonys stream had audio and buffering issues for a good portion of it.

Difference of night and day. I watched all, for the first time anyways, on my Samsung KS850D 65" in UltraHD

Looks great visually. I can't get into sim forza though. Horizon is more my thing.

Saw some Crackdown 3 gameplay on youtube and it looks fun. Definitely reminds me of the first Crackdown.

I'm feeling better about MS's conference than I did, initially. We still need 1st-party investment in a major way, but they did show a bunch cool stuff that will be available this year. Now that they have solidified their hardware and services, I hope Phil ramps up the 1st-party development.

Since the XOX doesn't come out until 11/7 I've decided just to wait until Black Friday to upgrade my TV.

It's always a crazy time, but it's a good one to buy a TV. Typically Black Friday, Super Bowl and I think Memorial Day are good TV holidays IIRC. Especially the first two, at the end and beginning of year a lot of inventory shuffling to get out old models, like cars to some extent.

mgoblue, let me tell you something, I am probably about the biggest David Cage fan there is so I couldn't disagree with you more vehemently.

I'm not a *****, but feel he ends up being overrated....I've enjoyed his games, just have moved from ZOMG I MUST PLAY, to not as crazy for me. I always feel the hype for his games gets me more excited then when I actually play it's not what i expected and not as fun.

They make great games though, so I understand your enjoyment...just not for me or a system seller or anything.
