I think in term of owning both consoles, it is a hard sell. I let my daughter take my PS4 because I just wasn't playing it much. I do kinda wish I had it back for Everybody's Golf, but it's not denting my time playing video games.
So the Xbox One X is an easy sell for me, and the PS4 Pro isn't even a consideration. I expect people more attached to the Sony ecosystem to feel the same way about the XB1X. But many gamers like to have it all.
But since they are iterations, at this point, it has to be hard to justify owning the premium consoles from both companies, when you can still play all the games on your secondary console without upgrading. It's why I bought a PS4 Slim instead of a Pro last spring. I knew I was getting an XB1X when it came out.
Personally, I can't wait.
