You can find some really good deals out there on HDR capable TV's. Some do it better than others, but yeah, I would make sure to get one with HDR.

I'm not even in the market for a new TV, but I've been watching that LG 55C7. It's price has steadily decreased over few months, and that TV is a beast.

Usually the TV says if they support HDR. I will say this, alot of people feel 4K HDR is a bigger leap from 4K than 4K is from 1080p.

Bought a 4K TV when they first came out no HDR so seeing this at least allowed me to save money on buying a XB1X for now since it won’t be a big leap from 1080p to 4K.

Edit: And of course after seeing this I find this on Forbes from Paul Tassi (do not know how reputable he is I just read the article)

If you own a 4K TV without HDR…that might seem like an ultra-specific question, but it was one that I got asked today, so I figured I’d address it. HDR is definitely a great feature and I would highly recommend any new 4K TV you get have it, as it really makes color contrast and clarity great, but I think most of the work is being done by 4K with the Xbox One X, so I don’t think a lack of HDR should make you abandon the purchase if you were planning on getting one otherwise

So now I am torn again

If your in a budget, and was going to buy a Sharp, but the Hisense 55” for $550 it has hdr 4k, I own and it too along with my TCL. Plus Hisense owns sharp now .

Check out the TV thread in Entertainment thread....I'd recommend the 55" TCL P Series for 600-650. That has the best HDR for a budget set and will somewhat future proof while being kinda cheap.

Man i bought 3 pair in bout a 10 day period, sound quality is good....sound way better with the dolby atmos app, call polk get them to send the mic.

Called Polk customer service guy was a azz. Adapter was $30. No way, I'm paying that. I'll send them back to Amazon.

Edit: called back again, got a different CSR, sending adapter and boom mic free.

To elaborate a little more on this. The TV’s that I would personally endorse:
Sony X800E and above
Samsung MU8000 and above
LG OLED
TCL P Series
Vizio M & P Series

I would definitely recommend staying with one of these TVs, especially if you want to take advantage of HDR gaming.

I highly recommend the Samsung KS8000 as well. Couldn’t be happier with mine.
