I have no loyalty to any company or machine. I prefer the X right now for multi-platform games but I'd be nuts to say I'm not going to play God of War and other games like The Last of Us as well.

Like I said, I really don't understand this idea of console wars because people should just play what is the best thing they enjoy no matter where it is.

I say that exact thing because my time and money are both more precious now vs. when I was single and no kids. Obviously if I had infinite resources I'd own everything, but IMO the Sony 1st party games are great, but not worth the cost of investment it'd take me to add all that in, just for those games.

That's just for me though. Paying for and sustaining 2 ecosystems (PSN/Gold, all the rest too) is just not worth it.

And I'm just different than most I'd say.

For me, in addition to having games I'd like to play, I prefer to pick one ecosystem and stay in it. I like to have things to work towards/grind for. I like the "RPG" like elements of leveling up or getting trophies/achievements.

I like looking at my profile page and seeing all the games I'm playing and working towards 100% or getting the Platinum.

I know most think this is silly and just added stuff but it adds to the experience for me, it's a main reason I haven't bought many games on my switch yet...I'd rather get them on PS4 or Xbox for the extras.

Just my two cents...Xbox is awesome and I love the atmosphere they have with their whole ecosystem.

All im going to say is that we should all be thankful and grateful to Nintendo and Sony respectively and here's why - if Nintendo didn't dump Sony and the SNES CD-Rom attachment, we wouldn't have PlayStation and if it wasn't for PlayStation and the huge success it had on it's way to crushing both Nintendo 64 and Sega Saturn/Dreamcast combined, Bill Gates wouldn't have ever gotten into console gaming hardware and Xbox brand wouldn't exist to begin with.

So regardless of which brand/platform is your personal favorite, always remember that if it wasn't for Nintendo and in turn Sony, none of us would be playing either console because neither would exist.

Xbox and Alexa coming to preview beta people...I wonder if I can chuck Kinect and get a ir for each Xbox...we stopped using Cortana cause recognition wasn't great and Xbox commands are limited somewhat. Or keep Kinect but use Alexa instead

I don't know about the options through Kinect...just know this is a skill through Alexa

I just read up on it. Sounds decent. I’m not going to buy Alexa for it though. Hopefully they keep supporting Kinect/Cortana.

Take it to a Microsoft store...read my story below that I posted a few days ago about my Elite controller that had the same issue as you describe:

I have to tell you all an amazing story tonight about Microsoft customer service!! My Xbox One Elite controller left stick quit moving down... It had been getting worse and when a friend from out of town was here this pass weekend it died altogether and would not move down at all without jamming it very hard.

It was out of warranty but I figured I'd go down to the Microsoft store here in Columbus to see if they could fix it or something before I bought another.

So I got there and they took my email and information, I explained what was wrong, she asked when and where I bought it, I told her a year and a half ago at best buy... then she went to the back, and came out with a new Elite controller and apologized for the other one breaking!.

Now that's customer service!! I was very impressed..I didn't even ask for a new one, just for them to fix my old one...WOW

X1X has been acting really wonky the last couple weeks and last night wouldn’t even startup. Got a E05 code. Remembering reading this post of yours and called my local Microsoft store in the Kenwood Mall and made an appointment for 3pm today. Went down and they swapped me out a brand new X1X and Elite Controller just in case it might have been going out. The rep told me he didn’t want to send mine out knowing the 2K was releasing at midnight. Of course we chatted it up a bit while he was checking out the issues.

This is what Great Customer Service looks like!! If it had not been for you ODogg I would have been Xbox-less for a few weeks.
