That sucks. What controller do you use? Is it an elite or older one that doesn't have bluetooth. I don't think it needs bluetooth to turn on, but maybe? I've ben using my One X and One S controllers for awhile because I busted my Elite.

The only problem I have is that the console does not always turn on my sounder now thatI no longer use a connect. My TV and soundboard face directly at my front room window, and sometimes it just doesn't get bounced back, and the sensor on the console is smaller than the Kinect.

Kinda looking forward to an echo or other device to become a voice activator. Never used my Kinect's camera, but I do miss the voice control.

My controller is the Xbox One Elite but I think the same as you because in the past when it hasn't worked I've grabbed my Forza controller and...same thing. It's just turning completely all the way off about 90% of the time.

It will work on occasion when I say "Xbox On" but it's very, very rare. As for the controller turning it on, that is about a 50/50 shot at this point.

Yeah you know I get that they don't really support the Kinect anymore and aren't going to add features but please don't start disabling things for it as some of us actually enjoy using the basic features of it.

I mean I say that a bit off topic because that's not what is causing this here as I found out since it's a bug but for a while I really thought that was the case.

Wow the Forza Horizon 4 demo is breathtaking. This game looks amazing in every way.


Also I still can't believe how good atoms works with any headphones. I just have the regular ones that came with my Samsung phone. It sounds so good. I was also watching Iron Fist last night and some of the stuff you pick up is incredible. I have a great sound system too but the atoms feature is crazy for headphones.

Yea man Atmos does a great job with any stereo headphones. I recommend getting a pair of headphones with good sound quality and sound stage and you’ll be blown away.

I recently purchased the LG UK6570 75 inch TV. It's currently on sale and I highly recommend it to anyway looking for a big 4k HDR TV to use with their XBOX One X.

I mean it's okay but it's not a 120 hz panel nor is it doing true HDR because it's not a 10 bit panel.

Regardless its still looks amazing. I have a TCL605 and I rather game on my monitor, and Rtings still says the TCL is one of the better TV's for HDR gaming TV.

The TCLs aren't bad, I'm just not a huge fan of them in general.

Yeah, i'm happy with ours, but I'm cheap and can't really afford (or choose to) anything more expensive....I'd rather spend that extra cash on gaming or other things (once I move my bedroom tv to a wall mount I will probably want another sound bar for in there)

I have the Samsung KU6500 and the One X looks amazing on it. I know it's just HDR Pro, but using Insects to see the difference between non HDR and HDR is definitely noticeable.

Rtings gave it a 7.4 and it's highly rated for gaming. I think it's mostly because the input lag is amazing when it's running 4K HDR for gaming.

I really wish I could have gotten a TV with HDR10 or Dolby Vision. But hey, mine looks great so if it's out of sight then it's out of mind lol.

I remember when I got it like a year and half ago I posted about it in the TV thread and got TV shamed. That crap was rampant in that thread. If you didn't get the high end TV that someone else had you got shamed for it. UGH.

I got a fantastic deal on this TV and it also came with a nice Samsung soundbar. I think I payed about $500 total. So definitely worth it for me.

Yes, rtings’ ratings for gaming are essentially just for input lag, which is important. The Sony x900e has acceptable lag, but not as good as some. The consoles doing better lad either do not do HDR or fake the HDR, so it registers as HDR gaming in your TV and console, but realky bypasses it in order to deliver better input lag.

I feel like these mid to upper mid level TVs are among the best balance between the high end picture quality and low input lag.

But the good rated 4K TVs are all going to be solid choices. You just have to decide what you budget is, and which is more important to you. Don’t let best be the enemy of good.

Do your research, then stop and just enjoy what you have. That’s more important than anyone else’s opinion on what is the best TV. And for the most part, even a little research will net you a TV that is going to be fun to game on.
