I'm not going to get into that ridiculous argument about comparing cross-platform games, because there just isn't much of a difference. I've played games like Ghosts/Madden/NBA2K on both platforms, and they're pretty much identical despite what people will try to make you believe.

I'm just talking about exclusives. Maybe its just because I'm 90% a multiplayer gamer and Sony has always been terrible in that category. For example, I'm not going to even insult Titanfall by comparing it to Killzone. They're not even close to being in the same league.

I think the majority of the PS4's sales are more about very good press in comparison to the XB1's horrible press. For example, if anyone ran out to buy the PS4 on day one to play Knack...that just blows my mind.

I did not think that making XB1 399 was going to make a huge difference because it came to late to make a difference. It will improve sales for sure as it showed but nothing major to hurt PS4

The price cut will only help in the long run. If people think that XB1 is not going to sell more and more as time passes they are fooling themselves

We are just 8 months into the consoles and people who bought the cheaper PS4 at launch were not going to drop another 400 when there is no need to right now on xb1 so quickly and many are still on last gen.

The real battles numbers will not be shown till the start of 2016

Talk to me about numbers and death blow then.

For now the 3 main reasons that PS4 is selling much more are

1. 399 at launch when people were ready to buy

2. Horrible press from prev E3 for MS

3. PS4 sold in almost triple the locations that MS is sold in

I'm still trying to figure out what everyone who buys a PS4 is playing. Crazy how the so called "gamers console" has none.

Mostly everything the Xbox One people are playing. Most games are multi-platform, contrary to what people reading these forums might think, exclusives are only a small overall party of a software library..

Yeah the only Exclusives I've been playing on the PS4 are:
MLB The Show 14
Killzone Shadowfall
Moto GP 14 - imported from Asia Supposed to be out in the U.S. in September so I'm guessing it will be available for the X1 as well then.

There is no Xbox One version of MotoGP 14. If there was, I would have imported it as X1 games are also region free.

Well my first choice at launch wad the one, I changed that and went with the P4, and was happy with hay decision, now owing the one

, for a week I have not turned on the P4 not even for the show. Idk



And the graphics talk should die out, cause I own both and I can't see one difference

I wouldn't buy either system at this point for the third party games that are out, especially since they're all available on the previous generation platforms.

One thing I agree with is that the exclusives, SO FAR, as of right now, have been disappointments IMO. I really like The Show but it doesn't blow me away. Second Son was fun. Ryse was fun. I play Titanfall on PC, or played rather (didn't like it that much) but I really don't think there has been a legit "system seller" yet on either side. So far I think people are more invested in the technologies than the games.

I won't get into the multi-plat talk more than I already have in other threads. People see and perceive things differently. Different graphics to me might be identical graphics to someone else. Games look fine on both systems. Ryse looks fantastic. Second Son and Killzone look great too.

Thanks to this thread I have invested in an external HD for the first time ever, didn't even know you could use that on the One. Pretty cool feature. Thanks to the guys who recommended that.

There's nothing on the PS4 that has been able to overtake my addiction to Forza Motorsport 5 and Powerstar Golf on the X1. Those titles are sitting firmly at the top spots in my household game rankings. Forza 5 is one of the best games ive ever played.


The Last of Us coming out next week might finally allow my PS4 to gain some ground my X1.

Like I said in a previous post, it's all about personal preference. You're a multiplayer gamer where as im a single player gamer. I think that both Killzone and Titanfall are crap because of what they're focused on, which is multiplayer. Currently, Wii U is better than both Xbox One and PS4 in regards to exclusives.

Since the original Xbox, the Xbox brand is mainly for those who play online and first person shooters. That's what the Xbox brand has been geared towards in regards to games. Sony's brand is more geared towards single player which is what I prefer.

Third party games do look and run better on PS4 than Xbox One. PS4 is also easier to develop for than Xbox One. In this regard, it's the opposite of PS3 and Xbox 360. For me personally, there is a difference when it comes to third party games because the top tier games and me wanting a lot of them has exclusive DLC and extra content that's only on PS4 (and PS3 if available). Take Far Cry 4 for example. A friend can join in, play for free and doesnt even need to have a copy of the game...this is PS4 exclusive. Granted, I dont play online but for those who do, this is a huge positive.

Overall, right now, both consoles leave a lot to be desired. 2015 will be the year where the exclusives kick in. Right now, the exclusives are crap, average, remasters or collections. I purchased a PS4 in late May. Knack just happened to be the first game I played, finished and traded in.

I do have interest in Xbox One for Ryse and Quantum Break but for me personally, there's nothing else. I would much rather have the better looking and better running third party games along with exclusive content which seems to mainly come from Ubisoft which is perfect for me as they're my go to company, favorite developer/publisher and favorite third party company. Add in the future exclusives which are single player based, PSN games and Indie games and for me personally, there's no comparison right now.

In the end, it's all about personal preference. PS4 is easily better suited for me like Xbox 360 was. I think that both consoles have their positives and negatives but in no way, shape or form do I think either console has an edge when it comes to exclusives. The top tier exclusives dont hit until 2015. Then, we'll see.

imo F5 has the better physics, graphics, damage model, customization, and sound. It's also 1080p and locked 60 fps.


As far as car list, Gt6 has the quantity but F5 has the quality. Forza rebuilt all of the cars and modelled full cockpits and interiors for every single car. Gt6 has more tracks also but Forza 5's 18 tracks are laser scanned (3 added since launch including probably the best modeling of the Ring in a game yet)


Both are quality games imo, but if you have an X1 I would definitely recommend Forza. It's hard for a last gen game to measure up imo. Personally, I haven't found a racing game anywhere that measures up to Forza 5. If you prefer getting a racing game on last gen, then you might also want to check out the new Grid which is an excellent game also.

Why are PS4 owners who have no XB1 here giving their impressions....I dont get it... This is an XB1 thread...

And Forza 5 is an awesome game...From the sound to gameplay and graphics it is unrivaled right now.

I have both consoles and play the Show and Madden on PS4 and Forza along with Battlefield on XB1

I just prefer XB1 for online shooters. Always have and always will.

Right now I am all in on Destiny Beta on PS4 and waiting on Last Of Us in a week.

The graphical difference is there for sure in a few games that run on both but it is nowhere near what it was on PS3 vs 360

Finally making the jump from my 360 to X1 this week. Was going to wait for Madden but getting a bonus from work so why not. What games should I buy to hold me over until Madden & the rest of the fall games come out?
