Re: Xbox 720
Next Xbox to be called Xbox Infinity? Probably fake, but thought I'd share it none the less.
Speculation abounds about the name of Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox, set to be revealed on May 21st. Will it be called Xbox 720? How about its codename, Durango? Will it be called just Xbox? Or how about Xbox Infinity?
According to sources speaking with The International Business Times, it’s the latter moniker – Xbox Infinity – that’s the name of Microsoft’s third console. “Sources related to development of the new Xbox have confirmed to IBTimes UK that the console… will be called Infinity,” the article states.
The article also states that developers have next Xbox development kits, a given considering the console is likely to launch in fewer than six months.
While this information is still unconfirmed by Microsoft – it’s unlikely we’ll have any solid confirmation before the 21st – rumors have long swirled that the next Xbox may be called Loop, or perhaps even Fusion. It may even be called Xbox 8, likely in reference to the Windows 8 operating system.
We reached out to Microsoft for comment and a representative simply told us "we’re excited to share more about the new generation of games, TV and entertainment on May 21, but have nothing further to share at this time.”
In the meantime, speculate away in the comments below, and be sure to join us here at IGN on May 21st for a next Xbox extravaganza.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Yeah I know but if they end up wildly successful with this stuff they might try to use it as an avenue to squeeze a couple of pennies away from GSComment

Re: Xbox 720
If the free to play system is a way to play a game without shelling out $ up front and only if you want to continue a story or add additonal content I'd be all for it for the mosty part.
Especially if we do end up with "no used games" stuff.
At least that way you can play a game and see if you like it and not be out 60.00 if the game doesn't suit you.
Also there have been many times a DLC came out that part of it I wanted(additional SP stuff) and part I didn't(additional MP maps) but had to pay for all or nothing.
This way it may be possible you can just pick and choose what DLC you want and not have to pay for something you don't.Joshua:

I don't believe the infinity name is real, someone came out on reddit saying they can't believe their own little work is being eaten up by all the gaming outlets and he also had proof of himself posting it a couple weeks ago.

In an ideal world, yes... but that's not how it works out in actuality.badComment
