I have a question for studbucket or anyone else that might have a suggestion. I'd like to use the Kinect features for TV and the snap features. However, the two times I've connected it to directv, I'll experience ever so slight flashes or loss of signal every few seconds when playing a game. It's bothersome enough that I have to disconnect the hdmi from the directv receiver.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the Titanfall Season Pass heads up....don't own it again yet, but if I ever see it for cheap this makes it a even better pickup....

FYI, anyone can purchase it on xbox.com even not owning the game....I get all the free stuff I can even if I don't really want it lol

I have been having crazy L-stick drift issues lately. Anyone else run into this? Do I just need to pick up a new controller?

So, you're saying that connecting your DirecTV box to HDMI-in seemingly causes issues when running another app/game?

Yes, that is correct. It seems to only occur during when playing a game. I haven't tried an app like Netflix but can check this evening.

OK, thanks and it doesn't happen on the Home screen?

I am not doubting this happens - I believe you. I'm just trying to figure out the relation between HDMI-in and the TV app (which are pretty isolated) and HDMI-out/gameplay.

If you are playing a game, plug in your DirecTV box and keep pplaying, do you notice issues? Or is it only if you go and open the TV app? Is it possible that your HDMI-out connection is loose? Do the cables cross and the in cable puts pressure on the out, making it loose? Generally a flickering image is because of a loose cable.

I'd try to replicate it with two different HDMI cables. Just ask Studbucket my nightmare that was similar to yours that was resolved after many hours with a simple HDMI cable swap.

I just picked up and extra One controller on Ebay for 39.00. Lightly used and guy had a 100% seller rating. No brainer for me. 60 bucks is a lot of for a controller I think
