Well mine I think needs a bigger case and another fan but I do not want to go back through taking everything out and redoing it, lol.

There needs to be a CPU shop around here where you can go in with your CPU, give them the stuff, tell them what you want and pay them a little labor fee to do it.

That's kind of my feeling unless it's that much cheaper to just build it yourself and comes with great instructions.

You'd really only need help making sure you got parts that played nice with each other, otherwise putting together a PC isn't as difficult as many would think.

Yeah, getting started checking the compatibility of parts may be a bit confusing... but once you know what you're looking at and getting everything together I agree.

It's basically just an expensive version of this:

Honestly the hardest part of a build for me is probably the motherboard risers/screws :-p

I started and finished by new build Friday night.

              MSI 970 motherboard
              AMD 8320
              ASUS Nvidia 770
              12 GB RAM
              1TB HDD
              Corsair CX750
              Case:
              Spoiler

Like everyone said, it's not difficult and now a days everything is labeled and the manuals are pretty detailed. On top of that there is plenty of resources online.

The biggest issue I had with mine was the CPU fan was running at 4500RPM from the get go. Needed to config some things in the BIOS and now runs pretty silent and cool. The other problem was installing the CPU heatsink was a bitch. Couldn't get one side to snap in and had to end up loosening one side of it until both sides latched on and then tightened that side down.

Most important thing is planning ahead and cable management which is always pain in the ***.

Also loving the case, looks cool and the stock fans do a good job.

You really need to buy an after market CPU fan.

I plan on it but everything is staying cool for now. By default it was set to run at 100% in the BIOS which was why it ran so high.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Was going to build a machine but instead found a hell of a deal on the Dell XPS 8700 with i7-4770, 8gb ram, 1tb 7200 HD, windows 8.1 (unfortunately), NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 635 1GB DDR3 (for sale). Got this for 449.99 after talking to customer service.

                    I ordered the

-PNY GeForce GTX 770 VCGGTX7704XPB-OC 4GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 3.0 (x16) Overclocked (comes with Assassins Creed IV Black Flag) from Amazon/TigerDirect for $329.00 after rebate.

-SHARKK® Wired Gaming Mouse With Programmable Buttons And Weight Tuning Cartridges, High Precision Optical Mouse With Adjutsable DPI Up To 3500 $14.00

                    -Corsair CX Series 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V/EPS12V 744 Power Supply CX750M $74.99

-Also have a 256gb SSD on the way that I got for free from lenovo

So I ended up with a pretty nice gaming rig for under $1000. Can't wait until everything arrives.

Having a lot of fun with Door Kickers. It is still in alpha but I wasted about four hours on Sunday playing it. It is like Prison Architect and X-Com had a baby.

Watching the What's New tab lately in Steam... amazing how much absolute garbage/mobile ports/etc are being dumped on Steam.

Anyone seen Metro: LL cheaper than $9.99? I know it hasn't been cheaper on Steam, but elsewhere I'm unsure. I'm really thinking about picking this up with the Season Pass for $13. I enjoyed the first one on consoles (haven't replayed on PC yet).
