Playing games on a separate machine (with my hard drive).

I'm going out of town next week and I'm strongly considering taking my Xbox with me. I actually have two separate Xbox's and if I take one I will not take the one I usually play on (in the den) as it would be more difficult to unhook and hook back up when I get home. My other Xbox (in the bedroom) is a little older but works fine.

My question is, for those who know, if I take my hard drive out of my Xbox in the den and put it in my Xbox that I want to take with me, will everything work fine? In terms of updates for the game, player profiles, gamerpoints, etc. I will not be connected to Xbox Live I don't suppose but I just want to be sure I'm not going to do anything that could harm the game saves I have.

    Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you should not have any problems doing that. Just in case though, I would move your hard drive over to test in on your xbox in the bedroom and update it if you have to do that at all.
