Best ps3 Controller?

Whats the best aftermarket ps3 controller for NBA2K12? i have bought many but they do not compare to the accuracy of the Sony PS3 Controller. For example, on all the aftermarket controllers I cannot do a behind the back dribble move I think they have deadspots..

The reason I want a aftermarket PS3 controller is because the Sony seems to start messing up after 1-2 months of use. Example, when using the Analog, the D-PAD randomly gets pressed. So substitution, etc menus start coming up in the middle of me playing.

Has any other PS3 users experienced this? and what have you done to remedy it? What controller do you use? Thanks!

How poorly are you treating your controllers???

I've had all my Sony PS3 controllers for over two years, zero issues, and I play daily.

If you aren't taking good enough care of your Sony branded controllers to have them last more than two months, those cheap 3rd party ones won't last you two weeks.

In my case the best PS3 controller is my 360 controller. :P

I personally think the PS3 DS controllers are **** this generation when compared to the original DS and DS2. I have replaced 2-3 of them over the last few years and this is an adult not abusing them.

Last night I ended up replacing the thumbsticks on my kids 2 DS3's. That was not the quality of the controllers issues, it was my 3 year old chewing off the rubber on the thumbsticks. The first controller was a pain in the *** due to the right trigger, but the second controller took me 10 minutes after the fiasco with the first.

I do agree with everyone that it is best to stick with the Sony branded controllers. The DS3 is a very comfortable controller for me and my choice. I still think that the 360 controller though is a very solid quality controller that would be awesome if the d-pad wasn't bad.

I can't use anything besides the Sony brand controllers.

I broke a few PS2 controllers, back in the day, and had to play with those ****ty Mad Katz controllers. So, I try to take care of mine now.

I've only broke one, in four years. The rest of my controllers work just fine, still. I was having some problems with the triggers on my main controller, but I got it fixed.

I just got a PS3 to 360 adapter for the PS3. It was like 20 bucks.

Does it work really well? Any faults with it? I just can't get use to the PS3 controller, even after playing the PS2 for all of those years. After going 360/Xbox style, you can't really go back.

Also, any way to go wireless?

I played CoD MW3 just fine. That game also allows me to change the fire/aim to triggers.

I use it for Battlefield 3 as well however dice were to moronic to allow you to shoot/aim with L2/R2 so you got to use R1/L1 but its still better in my opinion then the PS3 controller with sticks that twist, hate that.

Just got to be sure you remember that Y is Triangle, X is Square, B is Circle, A is X.

Every game I used it on has worked fine.

Also it requires a wired controller.

if anybody out there was experiencing the same problems as me. watching this vid fixed my issues. it makes sense that the connector isnt getting good contact nad causing the controller to press random buttons.

I use the Batman controller. I forget who makes it. I didn't know about the adapter and wanted the 360 layout. I haven't had any trouble with it.

I was reading that this controller is very good and it doesn't look too bad. I think the PS3 controller is wireless while the 360 version of this one is wired.

The usual routine is this:

- 3rd party PS3 controller = wireless, but no rumble

- 3rd party 360 controller = has rumble, but is wired

Does that one feel close enough to the 360 controller? What are the triggers like on it? Looks VERY comparable, and if it's sturdy, I'll take it.

I don't own this one but I've read some really good things about it. It's $34 at BBY right now and was actually $19 a month ago.
