EA Season ticket/microsoft points question.

So I want to get season ticket on Xbox live, but I don't want to spend $49.99 for the 4000 Microsoft points and only use half of that. I'm rather knew to Xbox live (about a year) and have not used the point system yet. Is their any way I can pay the $24.99 up front with a credit card without having to spend the extra $30.00 on points I'll never use? I wasn't really sure were to put this I'm sorry if it's the wrong forum.
