PSVita power adapter to power PS3 console

Hey does anyone know if i would have any problems using the power adapter cord that came with my Vita as the main power cord for my PS3 console? My cable provider accidentally took the one I had during installation and i'm waiting for them to get it back to me(long story).Anyways is there a difference I may be overlooking in using this? it seems to work fine but i thought i'd ask you guys here for some help. Thanks in advance!

No idea if it would even fit. I know the one for my fat PS3 doesn't work for my slim PS3, for instance.

Are you just afraid of trying it, or do you not have the cables with you right now?

Oh it fits and works but if i'm playing Madden or the Show for a long period of time could anything happen to the slim console? I dont know too much about electricity but would it damage it cause it was made for the vita? Like different voltages,etc? Hope this doesnt sound dumb,lol!

BTW I had a fatty one too and yeah that one doesnt fit at all, too bulky. But the slim console and vita seem to have the same power cord, im just not sure since the cable company has the other one by mistake. Just wondering if the specifications are different from one another or by chance the same thing. (slim ps3 and vita) Thanks

The cord will be fine. You can get replacements at Radio Shack as well. Just bring that cord in to compare to the fitting style.

It will work fine, both use a standard symmetrical C7 power cord, the fat used a C13 (same used for desktop PCs).
