Conquered the single biggest obstacle to HSG:WI's platinum. Spiral shot is the only tricky one left, and the rest is just grinding.

Ryan's contest aside, I've wanted this plat for so long too, ever since I got all the crowns. I just didn't think I'd ever get the albatross.

Yeah I put this in last night to get back into it. I really want to plat it as well. What course did you use to get it? Which hole?

The Show plat has got to be very rare. Those have never been easy games to platinum.

Major step there! I'm nowhere near brave enough to try that Plat tho... that game owns me lol.

I'll probably get back into it tho, just for the fun in it.

Maple Leaf, 1st hole. Just got a good wind, hit a rising ball and struck the pin. Couldn't have drawn it up any better, but I wouldn't have been trying to play it that way in a normal round - I would have run it 20 yards past the green if I missed. In that way it was a lot different from my OOB alba, which happened during an online round of all things.

I just got it while grinding character loyalty and points for the remaining shop items.

I kinda figured you were gonna say that. It's the one I hope to get it on as well.

I'm doing the same. Just one more 18h round and I'll have the last guy maxed out.

Probably so, but this is easily the rarest plat I can come up with in a month's time unless Ni No Kuni's trophy list is stupid easy (unlikely with it being an RPG). It's also the only game I'm anywhere near platinuming.

And again, I just really wanted this plat and have for a long time - the contest just gave that extra little push.

Picked up a couple Plats in the last few nights with Far Cry 3 and finally, finally, Uncharted 3. (The only thing really holding me back was the weird treasure glitch between chapter 21 and 22 but I finished it up last night)
I'm going for a 4 platinum month in anticipation of MLB the show. I might even shoot for 5 but that seems lofty. I have 2 new games I'll be playing and I'm going to go back to a couple others I got close to but never finished.

For the record, I think last years was. I platinumed it in less than a month (i believe i was the only one to platinum it when it was game of the month last year), and I've never been very good at the show.

I hope 13 adds some longer term trophies like winning the world series with the Astros. (Min 40 games played. All playoff games)

Though I expect the beginner mode to get one

                        Platinumed Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Man, can't wait to see how much all these trophies boost me. Too bad my internet is still as existent as the life I have.

How was that game? I actually really enjoyed the combat system in FFXIII, despite all the criticism. Some of the reviews scared me off of XIII-2, though.

                            I enjoyed it pretty nicely.

Enough to put 60 or so hours into platinuming it anyway.

It felt similar to XIII but I liked the combat a little more. Mostly because you control two characters (Serah and Noel) and a monster of your choice (once you tame it of course!) as opposed to 6 characters at separated times. As a result I find you are way morr prepared going in.

The story is ok enough, though XIII is special for it's story, and the gameplay I'd far less linear. I remembet in XIII the game was one narrow hallway till near the end. XIII-2 allows you to go to areas youve unlocked at will. Want to go back to the first world and do a side quest? You got it.

Without spoiling anything, one of my favorite additions are the paradox endings. Once you beat the game, you can go back and fight certain challenges different ways that affect history differently. I think there are 8 of them plus a secret ending.

I'd say i liked it more than XIII personally. More fun? Less of a grind. Easier.

Totally worth 20-30 bucks id say.
