    Sad day...

So today I turned on my ps3. Said that the ps3 could not detect storage. Please format your hard drive. Then a message comes up all saved data will be deleted during formatting. Do you want to continue. No... you cannot continue without formatting your hard drive. Then yes Ill format. Everything is gone... So many hours and games.

    Ouch!

Do you have PS+ with automatic cloud storage? I'm happy for this to be my saving grace as far as files are concerned. I want to do a massive backup again, though.

Hope there's some way you can circumvent this! Anyone have any ideas? It seems strange that every file is corrupted, more so it seems to be a registry key (or many) that are corrupted from allowing you to access everything else. If there's a way you can extract that HDD info without the PS3, that would be fantastic.

I would cry if I lost everything. Hopefully you have something backed up!

PS+ auto cloud backups are worth the price of the subscription alone, not to mention all the great deals on games.

I've already lost all my PS3 saves once (YLOD). I'd probably give up on gaming if that happened again. I was ONE PIGEON away from having 100% on GTA IV!
