I really, really don't want to see any "last gen" games being re-released on the new systems. Skyrim is 2 years old. Having it new on consoles is something, but unless they're packing in a bunch of mods or the ability to mod then I don't see what the excitement is about.

There is definitely a large graphical and performance difference in Skyrim on a decent PC vs. a PS3/360. That's where the appeal would come from - the PS4/One could probably match that level, and Skyrim at 60 FPS and graphics settings maxed is quite an impressive sight.

I agree though that it probably wouldn't be worth it for those who already owned the game, unless the graphics mean that much to them.

That's kind of my point, though.

I guess its great for those that never got around to buying it, but the next-gen graphics thing is already irking me. You've got sites like Kotaku pitching out games and lamenting about how "next gen" or not the graphics are, but nobody really makes comment or puts the focus on improving gameplay and structure.

Gameplay, structure, and design have all taken a backseat IMO.

Pretty graphics are nice, but that doesn't make a game great.

Skyrim could be coming to next gen consoles.

I want this to be true so so bad. I never got around to playing it the first time.

Disagree, people who missed it will buy for the enhanced graphics, even if it's the same game. I'd rather spend $59 on a next gen version than rebuy the 360 version for $25-30..

Hell for that matter even some folks who didn't miss it will rebuy it for the better graphics either to replay it OR to keep on playing it as many people still play that game...
