Disagree, people who missed it will buy for the enhanced graphics, even if it's the same game. I'd rather spend $59 on a next gen version than rebuy the 360 version for $25-30..

Hell for that matter even some folks who didn't miss it will rebuy it for the better graphics either to replay it OR to keep on playing it as many people still play that game...

Eh, graphics. The more time that is passed the less stellar it will look anyway. The games that focus on impressive, "real-life-like" graphics age more poorly compared to those that seem to focus on stylized graphics. If the gameplay is good enough then graphics ride shotgun. Going after just the best graphics doesn't really benefit anybody.

This all moot anyway since Bethesda said it was a mistake.

Tomb Raider feels the same to me despite me not playing it on the other systems.

Anyone still playing Madden?

Yes I am. I'm in my second season of Connected Franchise and I love it. Does it need work? Yes. But overall I think it's the best Madden I've ever played, especially now that I found a really good slider set.

With the point that 2k would need the NFL license, does that mean with the folding of MLB 2k that we could potentially see the return of MVP Baseball 2005 on Playstation Now?

(I'm excited for another viable baseball option)

Gameplay, structure, and design have all taken a backseat IMO.

Pretty graphics are nice, but that doesn't make a game great.

I somewhat agree with this but truth be told I think we are seeing quite a bunch of innovation in regards to games on the next gen. We are seeing new ways of interacting with the controller, use of the cloud for AI, very different, new game IPs, new ways and a new focus on multiplayer (ie Need for speeds blurred single and multiplayer) and tons of really unique independent games which are making tons of money by pushing gaming fun over graphical prowess.

Like I said, I do agree developers sometimes rely too much on the graphics but I really think with next-gen they are starting to be innovative and understand graphics only go so far, especially when great graphics are pretty much a given for games at this point.

I think you'd have a better argument if it wasn't Skyrim we are talking about, that game isn't just a pretty face, people play it because it's meaty.

We can only pray, I loved MVP!! I will get The Show but it plays like a dog online and MVP always played well online.

I picked up GTA for the 360, but id buy it again if they ported it to play GTA online on the PS4.

Me too! It is very good. I agree w you 100%. It needs work, but w the right slider set it is good.
I used a draft roster and took johnny football on the browns and shazier. Clownie is about the only other rookie starting for the rams.

Even with new IPs the selection of games has seemed to drop by a large margin since the PS2 days. Where are all the extreme/street sports games? Platformers? Its cool that we have the "indie" games for some platformers, but I do miss Banjo, Crash, and the other random characters that roamed the landscape in previous generations.

The other things are basically on a "wait and see" approach. The cloud-AI was used previously in Forza albeit under a different feature name that wasn't touted highly. AI is where I want to see leaps of improvement. AI teammates especially suck, but enemies were just as bad. I can play with a one button controller so long as the game is good and fun.

A lot of the promises of innovation this gen will just have to be waited on and see if they come to fruition.

Right, but it is notably a graphics pusher when the games are new and the gameplay hasn't really been the best thing about the franchise. Its hard to go back to an old game that looks ugly and plays choppy. That's the reason why there's a mod group basically recreating Morrowind with Skyrim's graphical goodness.

Yea...look at NBA 2k14. Pretty Graphics, gameplay is also great. But man the bugs!

I don't even care if they wouldn't have updated the graphics. I'd have bought a Skyrim reissue because it's one of my favorite games of all time and right now I can't play it anymore since I only have a PS4.

Same goes for the Bioshock trilogy, Borderlands, Red Dead Redemption, etc.

You are not in the minority I don't think, that's why these reissues often happen.
