Agreed. I hate the blue background. I cant wait to put my own background pictures again.

I'm wondering how you would do it, the PS4 doesn't have the little photo icon like the ps3. Can you even save photos/pictures on the PS4 ? Can you even open the web browser and "right click" on a picture and save it to your ps4 ?

I was able to dig out my ps3 wirless headphones. So nice to have surround sound back. I already saw a big difference in KZ this cloaking mother ****er tried to sneak up on me but I could hear from which direction he was coming and I had a little something for him. I will post the vid here later...

Speaking of which, people here told me that an HDMI splitter would bypass the HDCP-encryption on PS3 (and probably PS4) for my Hauppauge HD-PVR 2. I tried that this morning, and it was a no-go.

I have the Monoprice 3D-ready HDMI splitter, by the way.

I thought it was supposed to be free for plus users?

Well this is a bummer. Time to make a different account. Playstation Life Style has updated information regarding War Thunder

Man this is awful news. I have been playing the European version and loving it. But I wanna play the US version so I can learn from the mistakes I have made thus far and re-do a lot of things. Plus I was ready to spend some of my PSN gift card money on this game. Sounds like War Thunder may be a long time coming to the US, especially with the patch issues. What a bummer. :-(

You need the Orei brand. That is the only brand that worked for me. Cost around $20 on Amazon.

Interesting. People said the Monoprice one would work.

Not calling you out guys out, just letting everyone else know the Monoprice splitter doesn't seem to do the trick for me. For the time being, I'll have to stick with my DVI converter workaround it seems (which makes the audio portion very hard to work with, and 3D impossible to use unless I also use the splitter, in which case I hate that workaround haha). This is what I'd have to do though:





Not very fun or easy to follow even when setting it up, especially when I have to make sure my Harmony One remote has everything set up properly when using Optical (same with PS3 settings since you have to manually change it).

LOL, I saw your video on your What's New feed and watched using my Pulse Elites... you could definitely hear the footsteps.

Overall, the update works great IMO... No more techs on 2K because I forgot the camera mic was live lol.

Thats not the only one that works. I have one that I only saw one crazy dude on youtube using and took a chance and it worked for me and I think the price was similar. I didnt wanna use all those wires with the DVI workaround

That's bogus. We know the exact bluetooth module the PS4 uses thanks to the ifixit teardown, and it supports Bluetooth 4.0 + HS and is legacy compatible (it's a high end, all in one, bluetooth, wifi, etc module designed with high end smartphones and tablets in mind). So any bluetooth device will communicate with the PS4's bluetooth module, Sony just has to write a driver for it. They have to choose what is critical and what is low priority, bluetooth headset support is low priority.

I hear ya Quint...However, I just created a European account myself and picked it up. Unfortunately now PSN seems to be going through a maintenance so it hasn't installed yet. LOL, shot down even before I hit the skies...It's in my library so I guess I have to wait to test this out. Hope to see you in combat! Take down a battleship or enemy plane!!!

An update to the PlayStation 4 system software was released on 4 February 2014. If you update your PS4 system, the system software version will be 1.60 and the following features will be updated.
Main features in system software update version 1.60

• Picture quality during DVD playback has been improved.
• Wireless stereo headsets (CECHYA-0080 / CECHYA-0083 / CECHYA-0086) are now supported.
• You can now mute the microphone for the PlayStation Camera.

Wait. Hold up. They patched in DVD playback? Since when can we watch DVDs on the ps4? I thought it was Blu ray only?
