Forget sports....I'm waiting on a next gen strategy game like Xcom or hopefully they will start bringing over a lot of those PC strategy games such as Total War and Europa.

And I am sadden there will be no next gen college sports game of any kind.

Will never happen. Those games live and die by both keyboard/mouse and user-created mods.

KB/M is always possible on PS4 but will never be used in a large enough number to justify porting the games over - and the touchpad just doesn't have the functionality.

It's a shame, because I'd like to enjoy those games on my large screen as well without going through the hassle of unhooking my desktop and moving everything. That's just too much work to play a game on a larger screen.

I want cross-plateform play more than anything feature to be honest. Having buddies on X1 and some on PS4 sucks. Why can't I play my buddy in a game of madden when he has X1 and me PS4. Both these companies need to talk and make this happen. It does not hurt them and only hurts us.

That's how they get you to buy their systems and there's no reason to change it down. Making cross-play available ultimately does hurt them. How many times on the ramp up to release this gen have you seen someone say "I'm gonna get an XBOne because that's that's what my friends have" or the same thing about the PS4? I saw it quite a bit here alone.

Well exclusives would still exist but for those that are multi-plat how does it hurt them? I'm not going buy a console just to play with "ALL" my friends.

I would LOVE this to happen. It's time. On the bright side, Tropico 5 has been confirmed for PS4. First time a Tropico game will be on Playstation.

Tropico is nothing more then the poor mans version of Sim City and Civilization. Still fun to play though, since I played the Tropico games a lot on the 360.

So since I haven't been on much in the last month has Sony put out an official statement as to why so many games are being pushed back and others are just taking so long in general to hit the market? I mean I could have sworn that when the PS4 dropped and a little before, developers were raving over how easy it was to make games for the system and everybody had known about the system for a while especially developers. I mean did Sony drop coin in their pockets to release these statements? I just don't understand why so many games are being delayed and just taking longer in general. Kits have supposedly been in developers hands for quite a while now and we still don't have very many games. Just want to know why if this was supposed to be the easier of the 2 consoles to develop for. Is Xbox One having the same issues? Haven't checked that thread in forever.

I still play Medieval Total War and it's gotta be more than 10 years old.

Was thinking watchdogs was an exclusive but was wrong with that. The show is usually out in march or April now it basically drops in June. Can't tell me they haven't had at least a year working on the PS4 version. Also like you said Driveclub. Still no hard date on The Order. Just some off the top of my head.

So would you be saying that multi platform games are being delayed because of Xbox One?

I am just saying according to Sony and developers they have had kits for quite some time and am a little baffled at the slow pace of release of games and only how many are available now

I would LOVE this to happen. It's time. On the bright side, Tropico 5 has been confirmed for PS4. First time a Tropico game will be on Playstation.

Because of my *yearly disappointment with sports (NBA and moreover w/ NHL) I think i would do the every-other-year purchase with sports titles. Skipped NHL 14 (360), got 2k13 (360) and 2k14 (ps4). Although graphically speaking 2k PS4 is far superior than the CG, but still some of the issues are still present in the NG.

I love playing Tropico 1 upto Tropico 3 and I'm glad that Tropico 5 is coming to PS4 for sure I am going to get this. Did not play the 360 version instead played the Port Royale 3 (same company) that deals with trading and piracy during the 16th century in Carribean. Love this game and still playing it. Hopefully, they could bring this to the PS 4 via PS Now. And hopefully, PR 4 (no announcement yet) will come to PS4.

Where did you hear that Tropico 5 will come to PS4? Checked the kalypsomedia website, it says 360, PC/MAC and not NG

What games have gotten pushed back that weren't multi-plats other than DriveClub?

Octodad and Planetside 2(not sure why) and War Thunder in the US (due to Sony's patching process) are the only other delays off the top of my head.

It's console launch, it's silly to think we'd have a glut of games by this point.

Multi-platform games aren't being delayed by anything other than developers and the team trying to perfect their vision of a game.

Most AAA games take 2-6 years to develop. We're nowhere near that.

If you bought your console and are unhappy with a limited selection of games in the launch window, I am sorry to inform you that your expectations were set a bit unrealistically high.

No I know how console releases typically work. Just trying to get and understanding on if everyone was saying these are as easy to develop for as PC's why they aren't being pumped out faster? I mean PC games are dropping quicker and quicker from what I have seen. Don't know for sure on that as I am not a PC gamer. Just relating to what I see in stores when I go to them.

The Show is working across platforms on all their features, though right? Its launching feature complete like all the other versions.

I'll wait an extra month for that.


Apart from some PS+ games nothing is really popping up as a red-flag except maybe DriveClub and Watch Dogs, but that's just wait and see.
