Wahoo!

Started my 2k14 download off psn store on Sunday at 1pm.

Shows 95% done tonight around 10pm!

Woot for my DSL!

Man, I thought my connection was bad. I have wireless broadband. 6 DL, 2.5 UL. I DL Titanfall (I know this is a PS4 thread) last night. It started about 11 PM last night and it was done when I woke up this morning at 7.

After seeing your results, I don't think I will complain too much about mine, haha.

Glad it finished for you. I have been playing NBA quite a bit now. It's a fun game.

DriveClub should be a free title whenever it releases.

No it will be. It was going to be a free plus game before it got delayed. Pretty sure that's not going to change.

It was never going to be free, there was to be a limited version available for PS+ members is all, with both that and the retail versions being microtransaction-driven.

It'll probably steal a free game slot from us as PS+ subs still, but I couldn't have lower expectations.

My understanding was it was the second free PS+ launch title to go with Resogun, but once it got delayed we were given Contrast as a place-holder and once the game came out it would be free.

I'm sure there will be DLC, but I haven't heard any details about anything other than that it was (and still is whenever it launches) a PS+ freebie.

No it will be. It was going to be a free plus game before it got delayed. Pretty sure that's not going to change.

I didn't think that was for the full version of the game, which I thought I read somewhere. I maybe wrong though.

The free, beta version of Driveclub that PlayStation Plus members get when the PS4 launches will be exactly the same as the retail version – except different, Evolution Studios said during a Q&A session recorded by PlayStationer.

"Yes, the PS Plus version will be the exact same as the full version, except that it may be missing a few assets, such as cars or tracks, that will be found in the full version," Evolution said.

The PS Plus edition of Driveclub will include online multiplayer, the singleplayer campaign and asynchronous challenges, and Plus players will be able to purchase any missing content. After trying out the Plus version, players can "pay a sum of money" to convert it to the full retail version, Evolution said.

Which really isn't different from how Forza launched.

The only unsure thing was just how many cars/tracks were to be excluded from the version.

Either way, the PS4 needs a racing game this year.

So I got my silicone red controllers covers yesterday, I love how they feel and look, only issue is the don't fit on my charging station anymore. They still feel and look good.

I would gladly pay 60.00 a month for what you have..that's more than twice my speed!


I fired up 2k14 this morning and wow, a much better experience so far than when I tried it from a retail disc install. Went right to the correct screens (no black screen crap), and I played a Quick Game using my 90's Supes vs 90's Bulls and had fun.

I got taken to school pretty bad, even when I set it down to Rookie, lol. Still lost by 20...I'll need some tutorial time and I'll set difficulty to Rookie and sliders at Casual; I'll ramp up from there once I start obliterating teams.

As to the sound...NO DAMN STUTTERING AUDIO!!! Well, at least in the one Quick Game I did; we'll see if that holds true for MyPlayer or a season. I did get the audio dropouts but that's nothing compared to that horrible stuttering effect. I almost wonder if I didn't have a bad retail disc before, it sounded awful at boot up in the drive itself, and the stutter set in without fail once you were on the court on MyPlayer for a few minutes. We'll see how that goes later.

Amazing graphics and sound otherwise, spectacular presentation with a 'smart' halftime recap. Good stuff.

The only thing I still have trouble doing is passing in NBA 2k. That's where most of my turnovers come from.

The more you play the better you'll get. I've noticed how much I'm starting to switch around on defense and help on the ball with other players. Still, this game loves bounce passes when all you want is a lob or lead pass.

Yeah, I saw the passing issues I've been hearing about...can really make fast breaks tougher than they need to be. But when things click together it feels great.
