Unless it's wrapped in a blanket, no. I'd be more worried if he took the disc out and decided to see how far he could roll it.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
There was no disc in it. I never keep discs in systems. I've always been careful with my systems. I turn them off as soon as I'm done playing. I've always been uneasy about leaving them on.
When I'm not using it, I do keep a small towel over it to keep it from getting dusty, but it doesn't cover the vent.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
It's not the best thing for the console, but it should be fine. I once left my PS3 on for close to 24 hours when I was trying to beat one of the final songs in the endless setlist on Rock Band 2. Couldn't do it, went to bed, had to go to class, came back and tried for another 1-2 hours, then gave up. Most defeated moment in my video game history.PS3 question here. I just went down to my basement and saw that my PS3 was on. My son must have turned it on earlier today while I was at work. He likes to push the XMB button. Called my mom who was babysitting today and asked her when they were in the basement and she said around noon. So I'm pretty pissed to find out that my PS3 had been running for over 10 hours. I'm assuming this isn't a good thing. Should I be worried?

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I have that same worry about using my PS3 and PS4 for long periods of time on a daily basis. We decided to ditch DirecTV and go with Hulu Plus, Netflix and WWE network so both systems will be getting a lot more use than just gaming. I wonder if that would be an issue?Comment

My PS4 is normally running on a couple days, depending on if Mel and I are on the same sleep schedule or not.badComment

Yeah I'm just being super paranoid lol. Neither system gets really hot I noticed and I keep them out in the open.Comment

A buddy of mine NEVER turns his off. I freaked out and asked him what he was thinking. He's had it for 2-3 years so I think you'll be fine.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I get nervous if I leave mine on. But I'm worried about a power outage screwing something up. Even when I played for hours straight the system never felt hot, so that wasn't my concern. Mine is just a power surge.Texas A&M Aggies
