For the fact that you're at your computer playing the victim now after everything I just explained is the reason this all needs to end. What was marginalized was every single valid concern in the other thread and once the official news broke out there was no way to stop the flood gates from opening, so now we're in the Sony camp pointing fingers.

I don't care about the console wars but I know what I saw, and what you're doing right now needs to stop.

Look at how many people keep calling you out based on your posts, it's not only me.

If there's not an answer to that, then developers/publishers don't deserve money for used games.



Even though you were arguing the wrong point I was making, I will address these.

No, you aren't entitled to "recover some initial cost" of a game you blew through. Arguing consumer rights is like arguing politics or religion, since there's no fundamental facts that argument is unwinnable. That being said, however, purchasing a good is essentially a contract. Most times that contract is as simple as "give me money, now you own the good and can do whatever you want with it", but that doesn't preclude someone from legally attaching conditions to that contract. It might not jibe with your political views on consumer rights, but that's the current environment unless laws are enacted.

For MLB 07, Fundamentally you would have to pay whatever the retailer saw fit to charge based on what Sony charged them. You don't have a fundamental right to get something cheap because it's old.




Yes I would. People don't have some inalienable right to media, whether it be games, movies, music, etc. Entertainment media is a luxury, and if you can't afford it I'd tell you the exact same thing I would tell the McDonald's fry cook wanting a Bugatti: Tough ****.

Half of this must be tongue in cheek. I paid market price for every game I ever bought new used old whatever. See how successful these next gen consoles will be if the big boys decide to gouge the consumer on used goods. Not very would be my guess.

This new economy won't support high prices for electronic diversions.

Trying to get a piece of a used sale is just nonsense. They already got theirs when the games was bought new. Like you said earlier, either encourage digital, give incentive to keep their games; or dont charge 60 bucks for games that shouldnt cost 60 dollars.

But in most cases the games are worth 60 bucks. They don't keep all of that anyway.
