I will always, ALWAYS, use auto base-running. I have never felt comfortable with base-running controls in any baseball video game. Far too many button presses and multi-tasking for me in a game. I'm sure it's really not that dramatic, but I just don't want to deal with it. So I let the CPU deal with it and it always makes much better decisions than me.

I was big on auto-fielding for a few years, but this year I'm trying assist and enjoying it since it feels like the fielder ratings have a bigger effect on the result.

The primary reason I used auto-fielding was to avoid making the game too similar. It didn't matter if it was Albert Belle or Tori Hunter in centerfield. I saw the ball and ran to it. Now, there feels like a much bigger difference and I'm enjoying that aspect of the game.

Classic pitching for the same reasons. I want the ratings to have a bigger impact on the pitch location. Meter was too exact for me. I don't like analog.

Timed hitting as well. Most disagree with me on this but I don't believe that hitting is based on lining up your bat to the ball. I think that happens instinctually and the only thing that truly affects hitting is your timing and the window associated with it.

I also like knowing that a weak hitting infielder is going to be a weak hitting infielder even with good timing because I didn't help him line up that bat perfectly.

I agree with you on auto base-running. After having several issues trying to advance one players on sac flys with multiple runners on base, I went to auto and the base-running AI is incredibly competent.

I like the idea of classic pitching and I'll use it sometimes but I'm using pulse for now because it's the default and I'm new to the game.

Hitting wise, I use Zone and here's why. I feel like it does two things for me: it allows me to foul off pitches that I can't hit/handle and it gives me the chance to try to push/pull the ball. I really want a cleaner interface and I could achieve that through Timing, but with Zone I can also use that to help me "look for a pitch" after I've gotten a read on the starting pitcher and where he's pitching each batter. Love the strategy of it all.

On another note, I hate how spoiled we've gotten as gamers. I saw someone tweet the other day complaining that the load times on ps4 were a minute and a half vs. 30 seconds on the ps3. A WHOLE MINUTE MORE THAN THE PS3! The guy was describing it like it was a game killer.

I am betting whoever the person tweeted that is a teen-age "boy" or in his early 20's. This speaks about our incoming generation....no patience...always going for the quickest way possible (even to the point of cheating)... the virtue of being patience is gone or about to die....its a very scaring thought.

how do you change your franchise to auto base-running? (sorry for the question....newbie here )

If you have auto base running, can you override it?

Say the auto running doesn't want to tag up on a deep fly but you do, or it only runs for a double but you want to stretch it into a 3 bagger?

I believe there is no override. The only thing you can control is leadoffs and steals.

I love the idea of Quick Counts (cuts my game length in half) but I felt less in control of my at bats. Sometimes I like to swing at the first pitch or work a count but QC takes that choice away.

I guess I come from a different generation. My second console was a Nintendo where half the games I had didn't work unless I blew air into it and used alcohol to clean the cartridge. I can wait an extra minute for a game to load.

Under Batting/Running settings there's a place for Baserunning. Set it to Auto.

I used quick counts initially because I wanted to upload my franchise games, and every pitch games take about 20 hours for me to upload lol.

But, now I find that it is a great challenge. It is difficult to recognize pitches and forces you to adjust or you will strike out a lot. Secondarily, I never used to walk batters when I was pitching with every pitch, now I find that I am walking a few per game.

Only negative for me, is most of the trophies are disabled when using QC.

Well known industry insider Tidux has revealed some startling inside details regarding Respawn Entertainment sci-fi shooter, Titanfall.

TitanfallHe first tweeted that Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall is going multiplayer, and when asked to clarify what exactly he means? Tidux clarified that a build of Titanfall is already running on Playstation 4.

WTF is sony doing this cycle dragging out adding all these features?

I dont want to turn this into MLB forum ...but I am getting good advises from this thread.

I just played RTTS and I like it a lot. Did awfully bad as LF for I am confused how to throw the ball to the bases. The triangle corresponds to "home" etc...so im pressing the buttons wrong.

So I did try 2B and I did good. But when Im batting, the square (where you use for your batting/pitching) is missing. I tweaked some of the sliders....even I have limited knowledge about this game and its now gone. How can I bring this back?

Im impressed when the Toronto Bluejays drafted me on the 7th. I opted to go back to University...great decision. I think I am playing this mode for awhile

I thought I read that Microsoft has an exclusive deal that runs till the end of Spring.
