I didn't notice anything, but I wasn't really looking for it either. I'll be sure to compare them once my other controllers come back from Sony.
As Tom Petty says... the waiting was the hardest part. I had to wait about 13-14 minutes for a rep to chat with. Once the came on I gave a brief explanation and that asked for my PSN and email. I didn't even have to provide a receipt or anything and they would repair them if I sent them in. They sent me an email with directions and I boxed them up and sent them out the next day. The entire process took less than 25-30 minutes and like I said, the majority of that was waiting on the rep.
That's certainly an option for thumbsticks. I'm thinking about getting some for my 360 controllers that one of my dogs destroyed the right stick.
