So because I haven't updated I have only skimmed the issue people are having. What's the difference between Rest mode and Standby, and which is giving people issues?

If I'm always going into Standby, is that going to cause me issues with 2.00? And what is it about the USB power supply or something?

Just two names for the same thing. They renamed standby to rest mode with the 2.00 update.

Rest Mode replaced Stand By. So, I presume it s the same thing.

Since I switched it USB Power Supply always on I haven't had any issues with Rest Mode/Standby.

Only time I leave it on Rest Mode/Stand by is when I am uploading videos or downloading games.

Understood. I suppose I should be in the Power Down camp anyway. As long as I can still wake it up from my Vita that way (no guarantees), I'll go for that.

Not that I can play really for a couple of more weeks, anyway. Just far too busy.

After playing around with it, for me the hang happens when I have a game in the tray only. Since I've been taking it out when im done rest mode works fine. Sony needs to fix this though.

We're aware of issues happening post PS4 2.00 firmware, including some freezes and boot errors. Working to resolve ASAP, will update soon.

I don't see any reason not to update your system. Yes with 2.0 chances are Rest (Standby) might be messed up, but if you just change your process to shutting the system down instead it shouldn't be a big deal until they fix it.

Okay, that said I want to see what this SharePlay thing is all about! Anybody who has The Show or something willing to link me up with them?

Forgot my A50 headset at school (I use it to record things for my students), so I won't be able to communicate. Too bad my Bluetooth wireless headset doesn't work for PS4.

I've been fully bitten by the rest mode bug, does it every time. Funny thing is, it didn't start until I started playing Mordor. Also, the problem isn't that it gets stuck in rest mode, it never gets there, last time when I came back the fan was even still on.

I want to try and shareplay NBA Live 15 from somebody so bad but I don't think my connection is good enough. I get ~10 down and ~1.5 upload.

Apparently the "recommended" is 20-25 down and 5-7 upload.
