Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If Microsoft launches in the Fall, Sony imo has to launch within a few months if they plan to not give up such a huge lead early on. With The Last of Us being the last big game, it is almost certain another system is on the way. I think that Beyond: Two Souls could end up being a PS4 title since no release date has been set yet.
We can try to just wait it out considering that there is still a lot of games to play from this gen.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Well, I think it's just Bluetooth, so I can't imagine it not working. Never know, though.
Wasn't particularly fond of the headphones myself. The "Pulse" bass just wasn't right to me.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Let me find where I read it. I think it said bi-directional.
Edit: Someone on Amazon who reviewed it said its not bluetooth. Not that they are a reliable source though.
Just read a couple real reviews and its not bluetooth. So not sure about it.Last edited by PVarck31; 01-22-2013, 02:32 AM.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'd definitely recommend that you "try it before you buy it," though. Like I said, the pulse thing is really weird. Some people like it, but it's kind of an all-or-nothing thing too in terms of kicking in, no matter how much you tune the slider on the headset.
It's a high quality set, though.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Not Bluetooth, hence it needing the USB dongle. You registered it as an accessory, but notice you never had to go to the Bluetooth device settings
Considering the Pulse can be used with basically anything with a USB port (PC, Mac, TV), I'd say there is a good chance the headset will work on PS4... unless they remove the USB port entirely, which I doubt.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
You can turn the pulse feature off and they still sound very good. Plus, you can use an aux cable and use them with any device that has a 4.5mm input (sans the pulsing of course).I'd definitely recommend that you "try it before you buy it," though. My only qualm with them is they hurt my head.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Well yeah, I tried it without the pulse set and they were okay. A little drowned out and less impactful, especially with movies (even if you change to the movie preset). But I wouldn't pay that much for a device when half the cost is because of the Pulse feature, and not use it.
I gave it two weeks' time before deciding to return it, so I definitely got a lot out of it before making my decision.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
