This thread has been gold tonight. Pure gold. Some of those GIFs had me rolling on the ground.

Today was quite a roller coaster ride. I thought Microsoft had a strong show in the morning and had done its best to erase some of the bad taste they left in gamers' mouths in the weeks leading up to E3.

The Sony show really wasn't too much to write home about until the last 30 minutes or so. Then NBA 2K14, Watch Dogs, the price/no-DRM announcement and Destiny really changed the game entirely.

Really looking forward to playing with the wave of people that were 360'ers this gen that will be going with the PS4 this time around. A lot of my personal friends as well as many good folks here at OS fall under that category.

Not gonna get one at launch, but in time, I will likely be a member of the Playstation family for the 1st time.

I've seen enough from both camps to know that I won't be getting either of them day one. Definitely going to be sticking to PC for the time being. If I do grab a console down the road however it will definitely be Sony's, based off what I know now. I actually did like some of the games I saw for XB1 more, but not enough to get me over the issues I have with the console itself and I'm sure a few of those games will be available on PC at some point.

Yeah I don't ever really seem to play with OS people that much on PS3, so i'm excited for this especially the OT/twitter crew.

Fell asleep and missed all the PS4 info today at E3. Thus far all I've ready seems to indicate PS4 will be cheaper and has no DRM thus used games can be rented/played freely. Can someone verify this info? (will continue reading back in thread now)

Pretty much. Sony could have done better.

Also of note, HDMI out only, which shouldn't be too surprising since IIRC new BD spec specifies HDMI only for HD.

Looks like it's the wired option. For a wired headset, I personally prefer the ear buds. They just fit better and there's no sweaty ear syndrome.

I don't like earbuds like that at all, they are uncomfortable and don't fit right.

If they are going with a mono headset like that, I would have gone with a design similar to if you google "Sennheiser PC121"

If it means anything, the official Vita headphones are very nice quality and are only $20 (comparable to some $80 earbuds I own). I used them all morning when listening to the Microsoft conference (switched to my MDR's later in the evening).

If they're anything like that, they're pretty good. I don't like the color though, and don't see what they will be used for. Can you plug them into your controller?

EDIT: Nevermind, giving it a closer look those earbuds look like ****. Like iPod headphones.

I've got a pair of these I like (random act of kindness anonymous gift at my desk one day), but am pretty picky about earbuds and generally go for over the ear stuff.

Funny seeing folk's preferences. I can't stand over the ear head phones. Not a fan of the Microsoft Earbud for 360 either. Good thing is, this is a minor detail that we'll all be able to remedy per our own tastes.
