I'm not a big enough baseball fan to ever get my money's worth with The Show. I hate sports games that don't give me the option to play less games for the season. I can't play every game and I refuse to sim games.

With FIFA and NCAA/Madden it's never been an issue finishing every game, but it's a bit of a struggle with NHL... Just can't do baseball.

The Show is an amazing game, but we're in a place now where I can't believe there are actually people out there who buy the PS4 just for The Show. It's the type of game where I'm perfectly fine owning the previous year's version just to have my baseball game fix in check.

I guess if NCAA made a return on XB1 only, I would have to consider it.

This years trade search as well as new lighting, radio show beginnings etc... Can't wait

I'm good with the new lighting system, but after seeing the PNC video I'm not convinced dusk lighting has met my demands. Not talking about "lights turned off," it's more regarding the sky (the colors, I guess).

I mean look, I'm getting the game and all... just waiting for that improvement to hopefully be made someday! I was wishful for this year when they announced all the different lighting differences, but I suppose I can keep waiting. I mean I'm going to have to.

Yea I was torn when deciding which console to get, the show is what tilted the scale. I primarily buy/play sports games so knowing that i wouldn't be able to play a baseball game for the foreseeable future if i went with the One was the game changer. Of course, having other guys I gamed with on 360 make the PS4 jump helped as well.

I don't watch baseball or basketball, but any game with a fun superstar mode I'll consider.

I'd like to buy the Show but since I'm not a huge baseball fan I'm not sure I would get my money's worth either since I own last year's game.

For those buying the game who own last year's copy, what is the compelling reason that you decided to purchase it this year?

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Baseball was my favorite sport as a kid, but I've slowly grown away from it and now days the only time a baseball game gets turned on in my house is when I want to take a nap on Sunday afternoon.

I've actually played way more baseball video games than I've watched real games in the past 5-6 years. Last gen I bought The Show every year except on (MLB 12 iirc) and that year I bought MLB 2K. Each year I played the game pretty solid for about 2 months, then once NCAA Football came out I never played it again. Last year I bought The Show and for the first time decided to jump in a small 7-8 user Online Franchise. I was pumped at first because it was fun to compare your own stats against others in the league and stuff like that. However, after two weeks of problems like games not registering we finally ran into a glitch to where we couldn't continue.... I sold it shortly after.

I think The Show is still one of the top sports games. However, being that a) I'm not a baseball fan anymore b) online has to many problems to even consider playing it and c) even though I'm fine with playing offline, as long as things like stats, a deep franchise mode with chronic injuries, rehab assignments, player moved up/down based on performance, etc. continue to be left on the back burner, then I'm perfectly fine with passing.

I did like the addition of Quick Counts last year and the Radio Show sounds pretty good, but that's not enough to move the buying needle for me this year.

The Show is the reason I went PS4. I had a 360 last gen and it killed me to read how great the show was. I've never played it so I'm excited to pick it up this year.

1: Can import your franchise to new game
2: New Trade search
3: New radio show (First year so won't be GREAT but from the stream it certainly adds life to the franchise)
4: Pitch break has been re-worked and it's night/day from last years game.(Huge IMO)
5: BaseballIsBetter
etc...

Really one of the compelling reasons only this game offers that no other does. If anything else, you get to continue your same franchise/RttS and get updated features along the way.

Hey guys just have a question for the people who have upgraded their hard drive:

What is the best hard drive to get to upgrade in the PS4? There are a lot on Amazon/Best Buy and I am just not sure which one to get. I can replace it by using Sony's instructions on their website, but just need to know what would be the best one to get.

I think that's what the majority of people have used. Check the different colors. Usually there's one that's a few bucks cheaper then the others.

FWIW, since I upgraded my HD (2TB), my PS4 beeps on occasion when I play it for a while. Nothing has ever happened (good or bad) as a result, but if I get in a particularly long session, it's not unusual to hear this loud beep 2 or 3 times. I have never heard anyone else mention this.
