I saw those indentations on his Golds this morning then went to check mine.

Nothing (knock on wood).

I thought Sony was going to sell replacement plates with custom designs?

I am causing some pressure on the band in that pic, otherwise they are invisible. The way I noticed, I happened to run my hand across the top of the headband when they were on my head and felt where they were indented in those spots.

The plates you can replace are on the sides, the top part is built in.

I store mine in the bag that came with the headset.

My PS4 is by my PC, so if I'm basically not playing Destiny with someone, they sit on my desk. I don't think these are from any sort of shock, they seem to just be weak spots in the plastic that are cracking from wearing them. The cracks are definitely formed from that direction, from flexing the headband out.

Sony basically just told me to **** off on this, said physical damage isn't covered under warranty.

Edit: I didn't give up and they agreed to have it sent back, but said the service center could still deny the claim. The headband is just getting brittle, I can see more cracks forming.

Edit: Packing the headset up, since you couldn't see the forming cracks unless the headband was flexed, I took a piece of tape and put arrows to all the cracks. There are 18+ cracks forming, including some even worse than the two I pictured earlier. It's like the plastic is brittle and crumbling. If I didn't notice the cracks just starting, it would have been in pieces by the time I wore them again and no way would they ever believe that wasn't from abuse.

The Sony headset, mine was Pulse Elite for PS4, but was broken after 6 mos. I am pissed about it, I will not buy another headset from Sony.

I am looking for a great headphone with high quality sounds but reasonable price (below $100), any recommendations? I dont need a mic since I seldom (close to none) go online playing video games (i know, pathetic huh?). Thanks.

I've been lucky, I guess. I got my Pulse Elites (on PS3) the day they came out and I haven't had any issues, and no signs of mechanical failure. I know there's been tons of stories about the band housing cracking, too. The only thing I do is I keep them on a headphone stand when not in use.

As for recommendations, there are some decent audio headphones out there, that could be used in place of a gaming headset. I have a pair of Harman/Kardon CLs that sound really good, and are comfortable IMO. They can probably be had for about $65-70 these days.

Sony has sent out invitations for this year's PlayStation E3 2015 press conference, revealing the date and time of Monday June 15 at 6 PM Pacific.

Once again, the PlayStation E3 conference will be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena as it has the past few years. At this time, livestream details are unavailable.

Interestingly enough, the invite's background image pattern not only includes the PlayStation face buttons but also the number 2 or 20 if read with the O face button symbol, possibly alluding to PlayStation's 20th anniversary.

Of course, PlayStation's 20th anniversary of December 3, 2014 has passed, so the "2" could also be hinting at something else. A new PS4 version? A major sequel announcement? Then again, the original PlayStation launched in the west in 1995.

Anyone else having an issue connecting to the PlayStation network? I'm on a wired connection and everything else in the house is fine.

When I test Internet connection through the ps4, it obtains an ip address and Internet connection are successful right away. Then it times out on PSN sign -in

Same issue here, tried both wired and wifi same result, everything else in house is working fine so must be a PSN issues, hopefully it get resolved fast
