My PS4 controller won't charge and it keeps disconnecting even when I have it plugged in. Anyone have any issues with their controller?

I'm wondering if leaving it plugged in while I was playing killed it. It never really held a good charge so I just kept it plugged in most of the time.

I don't have any issues with mine in fact I haven't played my ps4 in 3 days played today and still had 3 bars u may wanna try change the battery in the controller see if that fixes the issue.

Try resetting it.

With it off, use the reset button underneath the L2 button.

With the recent news that Xbox one is going backwards compatible i sure hope Sony adds this feature in soon or there going to lose a ton of customers to that evil empire Microsoft. I would love to be able to play some of my old ps1 ps2 & ps3 games again afterall with this news they will likely have to add it eventually or come up with something ground-breaking.

I don't think so.
I've got every game I've ever bought....and the consoles they are played on still hooked up.
I haven't played a game that's older than 6 months in FOREVER.
Sounds awesome in theory......pretty drab in reality.
More power to those who do it though.

For PC...I'll occasionally go to a GoG like Covert Action or something that nothing today is even close to representing....but even then I soon tire of it.
The good old days of gaming.....are truly overrated.

I personally don't see SONY implementing this, in the near future; maybe down the line though, after numerous requests (read: pressure) from their gamers. I do think it's a great feature, and would love to have it on the PS platform, if not for the reason of downsizing my number of devices. Actually thinking about it, If I could do that, I'd be more open to buying the other platform. I'd have a fresh empty spot on my shelf, after all lol.

In the grand scheme of things, I don't think it will cause a lot of "defections", so to speak. Basically, if you are an xbox owner with tons of 360 games, you would most likely go with XBO anyway. Now there's just fewer reasons to wait. On the other end, if you are a PS guy, you're not going to now go XBO because you can purchase 360 games to play on your new console. Same for new entrants into this console generation. They will most likely be looking to what's ahead. It may have its largest effect on the multi-console users who are on the fence about which next gen console to move on to.

I have a PS3 that can play PS2 games but I haven't played a PS2 game so long, I can't even remember. I recently purchased the Mass Effect Trilogy but it's still sitting in my que because I have so many other games I'm still playing. I rather look ahead. I want games that reach new boundaries now.

Nostalgia can be highly overrated in the gaming sense. Mainly because the tech moves along so quickly.

The only reason I'd like backward compatability is for Boxing and NCAA football. Neither are on the new consoles and may be gone forever.

They are(options)....I agree.

...and don't get me wrong...there are a few titles that I wouldn't mind going back in and visiting.

It's the reason I left my original XBox hooked up....because ASB2005 wasn't BC(I wonder if it will be this go around! )
Not that I'd get deep into playing...but it's nice to give it a look.

Sony did say its for the gamers but I guess is only if they pay to be able to play games they own already on ps3
