IF YOU'RE PLAYING MGSV:TPP, READ THIS:

Konami released a note warning players to NOT USE QUIET AS A BUDDY in missions 29 and 42, as a bug can corrupt your save file permanently.

This bug occurs in all platforms, so it's safer to do what they say and avoid using Quiet in those missions.

They are working on a patch (i believe they are trying to fix the random hard crash/freeze too) but didn't say when the patch will br released.

I appreciate the feedback. Apologies for not picking up your tone well. I tried reading through these console threads before and I see some folks can get defensive quickly in the face of criticism so I couldn't tell if that's what I was getting, ha.

Good call on Best Buy though. Sounds dorky but I really was considering going and checking out the XBox One controllers (and another PS4 to make sure it's not just my controller). I'd decided I wanted a PS4 though, so I'm hoping to find a controller solution. Maybe I'll just play on it for more continuous hours and see if I can develop a painless grip. I do not think it's a defective controller. Again, it just looks like they're meant to have unrounded edges there and depending on one's grip, that can provide discomfort. I wonder what made them go with corners instead of rounds.

I was able to find a lengthy thread on this little design quark elsewhere. It's a big mix of people saying "I don't have any issues" and "Yeah, I don't know why they went with corners", likely depending on one's personal grip: http://community.us.playstation.com/...2137317/page/7

Thanks, man. I may give those a look. The Amazon reviews aren't too great so I guess it's about outweighing the negatives with positives. Maybe I could just rig some sort of scotch tape business near the corners to soften them up a little bit.

Fellas can someone give me an answer that seems complicated when searching on Google. I own both systems but have always been inclined to buy sports on the one to say xbox record that and show off and see my clips. Correct me if I'm wrong, every session is auto recorded with ps4 and then I would have to go back through and make clips? Is there a way of recording clips in game? Thx

The ps4 is constantly recording but doesn't save your clips until you tell it to.
To save one hit the share button then aa soon as the share screen loads hit the square button. By default the clip includes the last 15 minutes prior to you hitting the share button. That can be changed in share settings

PS4 was stuck in a safe mode loop last night. It was probably the scariest thing because I thought I was gonna have to send it out to Sony. I tried to rebuild the database and nothing happened. Tried a restart, nothing happened. Everything went back to safe mode. Luckily I was able to restore to the defaults and I didn't lose any of my games progress and patches.

SOCOM 3 was awesome. It's funny how i feel like playing SOCOM when i play MGSV:TPP. It's like SOCOM, but doing solo missions.
