I think No Man's Sky might be one of my most anticipated games ever.

It feels as much like a social experiment as it does a game. A multiplayer title where you might never see another player. Seeking to create an experience that is fun not just the 1st time you land on a planet but the 20th, 30th, 50th, etc. via procedural generation.

I'm hopeful we'll get something really neat.

I'm probably the only one here thinking that No Man's Sky will br a huge flop. The game has been in development for a lot of time and everytime the devs tried to explain their game, it just looked like they didn't know hoe yo do it.



It was always like "yeah, you have all these planets you can travel to... And you can discover all these other planets... And you can fly from a planet to another..."



I mean, is this a game about flying to a planet to another, only to appreciate the visuals?



Cause other than flying to a planet to another, they didn't show much more than that when it comes to gameplay

This is something new for me. I remember when they were showing the game at E3 (2014 and 2015) and Gamescon, and i really don't remember seeing anymore than the exploration aspect of the game.



Did they tell about the story (if it does have a story)? Or is it like a MMO? It is strange because they're talking about this game for a long time, but not much about the game was revealed.



When i saw the game for the first time, i liked the idea, but i thought it could be "too megalomaniac" for it's own good. Then i kept waiting for more substantial info about the game, and visuals and scale of the game aside, they they were still very vague about their product.

Do you guys know of any ways to increase internet speed to my PS4? Both my desktop and PS4 are connected via ethernet, yet my desktop pulls 37 up and 6 down while my PS4 is pulling 10-11 up and 2-3 down. I noticed that while playing the Division, when my wife would be streaming Netflix upstairs, I would frequently get booted from the server. Also, just last night while watching the WWE Fastlane PPV, as soon as she started streaming Netflix on the desktop, my stream would pause every 5-10 seconds.

Any ideas?

Ignore the ps4 speed test. If the download servers are slow your test results will be slow. That's what you're seeing.

The ps4 speed test is useless since the servers are all over the place.

As far as the Netflix problem did you change any of the default network settings?

Nothing that I changed that I can think of. Is it something where I can port forward? I've never done it before, so I have no idea what it actually entails. I did check this morning and it was NAT type 2 if that means anything.

Yeah, I have to wire straight from the router as our modem only has one ethernet port. Is that slowing me down?

It shouldn't. Type 3 is the one you have to worry about - that one can limit performance or game functionality.

For me, there's no noticeable performance difference in type 1 (directly through the modem, no router) or type 2.

I'm wondering if it's just a bandwidth issue at this point. I may call Time Warner tomorrow and upgrade to the Ultimate internet service.
