Wonder if they'd delay it to next year and bump up the specs to better compete with the rumored MS Scorpio stuff.

No. It is not delayed due to any silly rumors. E3 is not the stage for an same ecosystem upgrade. They said this to get it out of the way, so they are not bombarded with 'Neo' questions all E3 long. They can focus on what E3 has been the past few years, games, and their VR platform launching this Fall. Also avoids the whole, 'bet that was running on Neo, because we are so obtuse and forget how games like UC4 looks, etc..'

They have other trade shows to reveal this closer to the launch window. It is not a new platform, plays the same software, they do not need that far in advance of a 'reveal'.

I'm glad it won't be at E3. E3 is about games and I think it would just confuse people if they talked about the upgraded console right now. If they don't have a trade in offer for current PS4 users I think I'll wait a while before getting one.

Surprised they confirmed it but not surprised that it won't be at E3. Personally, they should do a Nintendo Direct style video in September/October that's recorded, scripted, etc. so they can fully show and explain their intentions without being on a live stage in front of millions of people.

I tell myself I will hold off. Then my 4K set goes, 'yo, dem UHD BluRay's doe'.

And I know Naughty Dog, as well as a few others will just dangle the, 'look at this upgrade to the games' carrot. Especially MLB The Show, lol.

Make sure you have up to $500 in funds for it because depending on which version Sony decides on, the price can be either, $400, $450 or $500. It depends on the specs of the Neo as what's been leaked isn't final yet.

I'm still predicting an October release along side PSVR. If they change the October 1st deadline, then it will be delayed. If not, im still guessing October.

I will be trading in my PS4 and a bunch of games wherever I can get the best deal at the time (either GS or BB), I don't plan on spending over 200 out of pocket, which is worth it for me.

Still debating on whether to sell PS4 or just move to living room. By release I'll have more than enough funds no matter the price. Only thing I'm waiting on is what kind of support the VR gets game wise.
If there's a nice bundle price I'll probably just do that...
We'll see.
