Also got a controller too. Just need to figure out what I can trade in to get my costs down.

GTA V makes this verrrrry difficult. I'm debating which games are must have at launch and which can wait....especially since V is going to get a lot of attention.
Sony better have improved servers when this thing drops. I remember online being pretty poor when I had my PS3. MLB The Show was basically unplayable online.
This was over 2 years ago, though. Maybe things have changed since then?

This is true. The last 2 PS3 games i will buy this year are GTA V and the last of us. I will pass on Madden 25 for the xbox/ps3 since i will be getting it for the PS4. I have MLB 13 the show to hold me over for a while. I see the wait for the PS4 a good time for me to catch up on my backlog of games collecting dust.
I'll probably pass on the first 2 or 3 iterations of sports games on the PS4.

Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.
Plus, GameStop basically goes into full rape mode when it comes to giving back value for your game (but that's a discussion for another day).
Yeah, that's why I don't use GameStop. I either use CeX or craigslist. I've been able to sell my $60 games for $40+ every time out, assuming I buy them on release and finish them within a month.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

wow...that's kinda cool with the tablet. my kids would love it
Is the camera needed for any of these games? It seems Sony pretty much ignored it during their conference. The tech demo they did on Engadget was pretty neat, though.

I think if it was needed, you'd have seen it mentioned in the trailer.
All we know right now is that it's not required for turning the system on. I'm sure some games will have the option to use the eye, but not required. Unless, of course, it's stated to be a "PlayStation Eye/Move Game".

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but, I am not really excited for anymore current gen releases, with possibly the exception of NHL 14'.
I'm probably not going to buy NCAA football now, and I'm not that excited for current gen Madden's release.
The wait for PS4 will be long and arduous. But we will make it. LOL.
I'm still very excited for:
The Last of Us (I'm holding off for a while due to a massive backlog of unfinished games)
GTA V
Tales of Xillia
Metal Gear Solid V (whichever part comes first, and as far as I know it's still current-gen)
FFX and KH remasters
