What do you guys think about this list?

That is a great list.

I don't think we will see NMS. NMS is having so many issues console-wise with crashes and whatnot I think that has been where all their effort has gone in, but I could be wrong (I am wrong all the time).

I think if they can show a Witcher 3 with "ultra" settings in terms of draw distance, some better textures, and an improved frame rate that would go a long way, same with Fallout 4.

Not sure how much better UC4 could look than it already does, maybe show the single player running at 60 FPS with some improvements here and there.

Racing games would be great chance to show off the power, same with VR. Something tells me a solid chunk will be devoted to VR

When it comes to racing games I am wondering when will Drive clube ever maybe get a complete edition with all the DLC. The game has added so much with DLC that its like a new game now compared to when it first came out. I think at some point they would release a complete edition.

I think if you set them up side-by-side, which I expect to be the case (vanilla PS4 on one side, Neo on the other) the differences will be noticable.

When Bolt and I would go back and forth between UC4 single player and multi player we noticed the FPS difference right away

Unfortunately once the NEO and Scorpio hit it's going to be tons of new comparisons and complaints. It's a never ending cycle now. Gamers just aren't happy unless they are complaining anymore.

BTW, you are absolutely right about this. I am a person who tends to get caught up in numbers on paper, specsheets, frame rates, resolution comparisons, etc. I let that stuff govern my decision and opinions and I guess that might be a bad thing. I will work on it

Man, you're going to be so happy if you can ease yourself off that. I've never really done it for games, but for TV shows or sports...just reading everything you could, getting so caught up in the minor details of something you have no control over anyway. It happens to most of us, I think.

Nothing wrong with being informed, but watch yourself on the line between that and becoming obsessed with info to that point that you don't even enjoy actual gaming because you put so much thought into the technical crap. I'm sure you can see some of that in this thread if you look hard enough.

I've learned to do it as of late and it's made me feel much better. I think it's pretty obvious I'm an Xbox fanboy and I got caught up in the whole PS4 vs. Xbox spec debate and constant nitpicking. I've since gotten over that and feel a sense of joy anytime I fire up my Xbox and I feel just as much at peace when I turn on my PS4 as well.

It's sad that a good amount of the gaming community gets so caught up in the debates and never ending comparisons but oh well. Best thing you can do is to stay at a distance and just be happy with your decision(s).

The rumor mill is buzzing that it will be right after the conference on Wednesday or shortly after. Considering that there are systems out in the wild and it hasn't even been officially announced as as a "real thing" by Sony (which is crazy to me), I would think/hope the rumors are true and we are just a few days away

Well when we first got news that ps4 was real the rumor was that it was going to come out september 14th so we will see.

Not everyone is happy with 30 fps games that could have benefited from a higher frame rate.

It's a much bigger deal than having additional native pixels

Not only that, but these consoles should've came out the gate doing 1080 60fps natively.

The only thing stopping them from being 1080p and 60fps is what the devs do with the hardware. You could build a PC with 4x 1080s and build a game that would only run at 30fps.

Battlefield 1
Battlefield 1 already looks great and the destructible environments look amazing. Should look even better on NEO but I seriously doubt that this will be shown on Wednesday for one simple reason - EA has a marketing deal with Microsoft for Battlefield 1 so I would be very surprised to see it.

Uncharted 4
Uncharted 4 is part of my prediction in that it will be the game that showcases NEO. I would say that it's pretty much a guarantee.

No Man's Sky
From being a disappointment at launch to refunding consumers, No Man's Sky has been a disaster thus far for Sony. No way in hell will this even be mentioned let alone shown.

Bloodborne
Bloodborne is by far the number one game on the list that SHOULD get a NEO update in order to increase the frame rate. Staying true to my prediction (listed above), I will say that Bloodborne will not be shown.

Gran Turismo Sport
Game was just recently delayed and based on rumors, game is a disaster and not worthy of the Gran Turismo name. No way Sony showcases a game that was just delayed to "sometime" in 2017.

Drive Club
While Drive Club could end up being the better racing game compared to GT Sport when all is said and done, I don't see Sony showing this game any attention considering that Evolution Studios is no longer owned by Sony.

Rise of the Tomb Raider
Another game that kind of falls into the Battlefield 1 territory. Granted, that was a year ago but Sony is not going to showcase this game after Square Enix made the decision to make the game timed exclusive for the competition despite being known as a "PlayStation" brand. Sony will not give this game any time whatsoever.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt
By far, the best game this generation and one of the best games of all time SHOULD get a NEO update but if CDPR really wanted to do that, I think that they would have waited until October to release the Complete Edition which was released a week ago. Don't see this being shown at all.

PlayStation VR
This after Uncharted 4 makes the most sense to me because like I have said numerous times, I believe that the true reason for NEO is related and connected to PSVR. Only problem is that there's no standout game that they could show for it. Plus, with all the pre-orders sold out and a second batch not expected until late this year or early next year, why showcase something that consumers won't be able to just go out any buy? If Sony somehow someway has extra units that will be available in store on October 13th, then showing it is probably no-brainer but with that said, im going to stay on course and say that it won't be shown.

Fallout 4
Fallout 4 is probably the number one game this generation that needs a NEO update. Shame that a NEO update still won't make the game engine any better. Definitely needs a NEO update but again, I don't see it being shown. Also, Microsoft had the marketing deal with Bethesda for the game and expansions so that may still be active and if so, there's no chance that it will be mentioned or shown whatsoever.

In conclusion, I truly believe that Sony will only show one game - UNCHARTED 4. It's the premiere franchise from their premiere developer and of course, is exclusive to PlayStation 4 which is what I see Sony concentrating on. Very few people who own an Xbox One but not a PlayStation 4 are not going to run out and buy NEO for a multi-platform game that they may or may not already own or have played and completed.

In two days from now, we'll all be able to talk about what WAS shown.

Honestly can't really see any cons to this. Games are still playable on the original, those that want to upgrade can without forcing those who don't want to. People complaining but about what? The fact that an upgrade is available? Seems ridiculous. And if the only people you see complaining are trying to justify one system over the other, you must not know many PC gamers. More power is never a bad thing.

Why wasn't the PS4 built with these capabilities to begin with?

Seems to me like NEO is for a select group of gamers and not the gaming community as a whole.

Nothing wrong with that but why can't people question what is going on when the PS4 was touted as "next gen" just 3 years ago? Technology hasn't shifted.

If this is to appease owners of 4K sets...we can't even get broadcast TV in 4K yet. So what's the point besides this being a money grab?

What % of gamers are really complaining about FPS and resolutions? I'd guess a very tiny %. Probably the same guys who complain about not enough socks in NBA 2K.
