I personally use LastPass. I think it has better integration across multiple devices.

Your data gets encrypted locally, based on your master password, and then uploaded to their servers for syncing/backup.

It also can generate random passwords for you. You can set the requirements (mixed case, symbols, numbers, length, etc)

It's a personal preference thing. They both do basically the same thing. I prefer 1Password but don't think you can go wrong with either.

I do the majority of my stuff via a PC browser but every now and then I will via my Phone. How does Lastpass work from a phone instead of a PC?

Yeah, mine is all on my phone, and even then it's finger print protected on top of that LOL

I think 1Pass will go up to 35 character passwords with symbols, letters, numbers as well. I have most of my passwords in the 25-30 range with 5-6 numbers, different cases and 3-4 symbols mixed in.

Has anybody tried buying anything on PSN today? I keep getting errors saying my payment info is invalid.

There's a LastPass app. You can either use it to lookup passwords and paste them into Safari. Or you can use the browser in the app which will autofill. It can utilize the finger print reader if you want it to.

So maybe you were logged into another computer and forgot? Anyone in the household, children, etc.?

I hope it gets resolved for you. Quite puzzling.

Nope only me and the wife, she doesn't know any of my login information.

I also haven't logged in anywhere other than the console in a very log time. Only time I have it has been on my PC browser for some type of issue.

This is how it went down. I attempted to stream madden last night. Started up PS4 then noticed I couldn't connect to PSN. I checked down detector and noticed they were down. I then logged onto Blizzard via the PC and streamed Overwatch. This morning I sign into my bank account to pay a couple bills and see two charges. I immediately logged into my PSN account, changed pass, removed credit card, and logged into PSN help chat. We are here now....

That is quite puzzling. Surely they should be able to see what/where it was logged in.

                    Yeah, you would think so.

With most services now, the user can even see the current active sessions (and history - IP, location, time). Can't find it anywhere in the account area.

This is why as a consumer, I would always prefer to talk to someone face to face because over the phone, I would more times than not get the feeling of "if you were in front of me, I would strangle you right now" where as in person, face to face just seems to be more relaxing, comforting and you can clearly see if the person is bullcrapping you or not as opposed to over the phone where the reps are just reading the scripts off the screen.

Ok it just got REALLY REALLY crazy fishy. So evidently from what they see the purchase was made from MY PS4!!

Here is crazy thing, like I mentioned just a second ago, what occurred last night is exactly how it happened. I never could sign into PSN, my wife can't even sign into my PS4, and they are saying I PURCHASED this!!

"As a one time courtesy we will refund it back to your credit card, you should see it in 3-5 days".

Now first I wasn't happy with that because they should be able to credit it back instantly, but its better than nothing.

Lastly, this being purchased directly from the PS4 is even more concerning. Plus it happened during the "downtime" so how is that even possible? I don't even know where to begin for preventing this from happening again.

To be fair, it takes all credits to a credit card 3-5 days to appear.

What was purchased? I know I could get on the PSN store last night from my PS4. Are you sure ou didn't get stuck in some loop while purchasing something and it got stuck in an endless purchase error or something?

I'm reaching for straws here. LOL

Stupid question but do you have the PlayStation app on your phone?

Couldn't someone have gotten your PSN password and somehow did all of this through the app?
