Paul Tassi of Forbes argued that his 4K Sony set (expensive 930d) did a good job upscaling to 4K without necessarily needing the Pro. He is one of the few critics that has argued the Pro is more of a minimal upgrade and is hopeful for a bigger impact in the Scorpio.

At the moment I think 4K gaming may be more popular than TV or movies as well. Not a lot of good source material yet.

Hold on, you're arguing with people and YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU'RE RIGHT OR WRONG. I thought you were talking from a point of knowledge and a true understanding of consoles and programming for them, and I find out now that it's been based off of "what you think". So basically, you're making it up as you go and have ruined 2 threads about consoles.

And possibly influenced others to buy things they shouldn't have based on what was presented as fact when it isn't.

Not going to stand here.

do you think the new toolscan that Sony will be providing all developers and mandating all developers to use will help?

I heard that from Dec on all developers(whether they like it not) will be forced to use it for pro so that ps4 pro players are not getting shafted as well?

Have no clue but what I do hope for is that Sony makes devs use the same type of options that ROTTR uses. Allow the 1080p owners to set resolution at their native screen resolution and improve FPS is a win win for them.

At this time they are downsampling and not allowing the 1080p owners to deactivate the higher rez for FPS gains...That is not cool because it hurts the performance of the title.

Sony tv's have the top upscaler chip in the biz....But no matter how great it is the image will never come close to The PRO actually rending in 1800p checkerboard to 4K...That will look much better then a standard 1080p game upscaled by the Sony tv.

Sony and MS run gaming...PC is superior in terms of visuals for sure but console sales of games and consoles make console gaming the money maker and get all the ads

Yep, nothing has ever made money on PC. Ever.

Consoles definitely make all the money and is where the most popular games in the world are.

Am sure the MOBA and counter strikes make money on PC....But for the casual gamer consoles is what appeals to them

If there was only hard core gamers in this world I am sure PC would run things in term of advertising and sales of hardware parts and software

if there was a toggle even just within the reg settings of the ps4 thatd be great

i kind of would also like a different interface

I believed that I was right simply because what the truth and facts are simply don't make any sense whatsoever. Even more so if you're a PC gamer and have a high end PC. What's the point in having the ability to customize all of your options and settings to maximum if all you're truly getting is the same as those who play on consoles? That defeats the entire purpose of playing on PC. I admit that I was obviously wrong, mistaken and apologize for being misinformed.

What do you mean influenced others to buy things? Where is this coming from? You mean the Sony X800D 4K HDR TV? Because this is the only thing that I can think of and even then, I'll recommend stuff but I don't tell people that they have to run out and buy the stuff im recommending. If I have, please let me know and I'll edit my posts.

Is anyone having problems with the 4.06 system update? I had two other games updating and this downloading at the same time. When it came time to install it said error. I tried to re-download and re-install, but it won't work. Any help would be appreciated guys.

The 2 TB Firecuda hybrid drive is in stock at newegg. Mine's coming tomorrow, which means I get to install everything on the Pro all over again. Yay!

That's the Barracuda, which is a standard drive. The Firecuda is a hybrid drive.
