mmm I don't remember them being so close together like this. Yeah I am looking forward to it and all I ask for is some more news about Spider-Man. I hope we get hands on or if not at least a new trailer and a official name.

I'm pretty sure that TGA and PSX have been two days apart the last two years. And it's pretty much a guarantee that unless there's a marketing deal, whatever you see at TGA won't be shown again at PSX. Both shows are usually evened out with little cross-over.

As for Spider Man, it's the same for me as Death Stranding, Detroit, Days Gone, God of War, the rumored TLOU 2 and Sucker Punch's new IP..........I don't want to see or hear anything about them until they're at least 90% finished simply because waiting two years for the game to be released from the debut trailer does more harm than good.

The number one game on the list that shouldn't be shown whatsoever is Death Stranding. Kojima is known to be slow as hell developing games and to see a little tidbit here and there isn't going to get me hyped for his game. A year later and all the rumors say is that we'll finally know what game engine he's using for the game. Yay!!! Only five more years to go. UGH.

Really wish Sony and pretty much every publisher copies Bethesda with Fallout 4 and Ubisoft with Far Cry Primal and Watch Dogs 2.

Not only that but I would much rather see the story trailer DLC for Uncharted 4, a long new gameplay demo of The Last Guardian especially since it comes out three days later, Gravity Rush 2 and Yakuza Zero which come out in late January, a long gameplay video for Resident Evil VII and of course the big one, a long gameplay video for Horizon: Zero Dawn.

I'm also one of the many based on what I have read in other forums and sites that believes that both REVII and Horizon will be delayed. While im hoping that doesn't happen, im actually expecting it to happen simply because very little of RE VII has been shown thus far and I just don't see Capcom hitting their January 24th release date and after the horrible launch of SFV, if they need more time, they should definitely take it.

Horizon is more of a gut feeling simply because it's a huge franchise for Sony as it's their internal franchise to replace Uncharted and it needs to be as close to perfect as it possibly can be. Add in PS4 PRO and im guessing that they'll need a few more months.

Another reason is that Q1 2015 and Q1 2016 were both stacked and well, delays happened so im fully expecting some delays for games between January 1st and March 31st.

Hope im wrong but since this gen has been the gen of delays, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

So....should I take an error on a database re-build (from the PS4 safe mode) as a bad sign? Hard drive problem perhaps?

The 60 GB WWE download was one thing, but now I'm even getting the "cannot download" message for No Man's Sky (no more than 4 GB) while I have 40 GB free. Then I tried the database re-build and that failed. I'm less worried about having enough space to install a game than I am having a system procedure fail.

I'm backing up all my game saves at the moment, to prepare for the worst.

While PSX is still kind of new compared to game award show so I guess I just forgot and yeah I am sure we will see different things at each show. While I understand about seeing a game to soon but I also don't want to go from seeing a announced of a game to getting nothing for a long time either and with Spider-Man being announced in June at E3 by PSX/game award show time it will have been almost half a year since it was first announced and I think that is a good amount of time to give use a update even if it is just something small like a titled and maybe some information about some features the game is going to have. Right now we know nothing about the game other then who is making it.

While I cant wait for TLG but with it being only a few days latter I don't really need to see any thing new and with Horizon I think we have already seen enough. I don't think Horizon is going to be pushed back it already got pushed back once and we have already seen a lot of it.

I am not sure about the database but when it comes to the down load thing it could be the odd ps4 thing you are seeing where you need extra space then what it says. What I mean is just a few week back before I got a 2 TB hard drive my system wouldn't download a like 4 GB patch even though I had like 20 GB left on my system. The issue was the game its self was like 25 GB or something and if you don't have that space even though the patch is all you are installing it will say you don't have enough info. When I deleted a game and then reinstalled the game I was able to get the patch to download.

Yeah, it's a lot like the PS3 where you needed around double the space during the actual install process. This was made very clear while I was trying to download all 60-ish GB of WWE 2k17 and I was erroring out even with about 95 GB free. It needed every bit of the 120-or so GB I freed before it finally worked. That should not be happening on a 7 GB download though (not 4 GB - the foundation patch apparently added some serious beef to the download) while I have well over 40 GB free.

In any event I've decided to get the Pro on this Black Friday deal. I've known I was going to upgrade eventually anyway, but if I'm getting this squeezed on disk space AND my PS4 is showing signs of potential hard drive trouble then I feel like I need to act fast while I can get some trade in-value for it.

Re-initializing the current PS4 to try to fix the database error is an option here, but that means re-downloading everything. Once the Pro arrives I should be able to transfer everything between the PS4's via Ethernet cable which will be much faster (as in matter of hours rather than matter of days).

I didn't know it was like that on ps3 to but I never ran out of space one my 160 GB hard drive but now with ever game having to be install unlike on ps3 it is much easier to run out of space. Yeah I guess that is a good plain if it is looking like your ps4 is having issue has you would be getting a new system and getting trade in value instead of maybe having it break later and having to spend money to get it fixed or not be able to then get any trade in value for it. Even though I am not for this whole mid gen upgrade I have thought about getting the pro just because I tend to have bad luck with systems breaking on me and so I worry my ps4 may break. I had 2 gamecubes that stopped reading disk after about 2.5 years and my last one that I still have some times has issues with that to. I also had a ps3 that got YLOD after about 2.5 years. If my ps4 breaks at some point I would then most likely get a pro to replace it. So with having the ps4 for around the same time maybe slightly longer now then it took for 2 gamecube's to stop working and one ps3 makes me worried that my ps4 may start having issues in the next year or sooner. At the same time I have had my second ps3 a slim one that I replaced after my fat ps3 got YLOD for like going on 6 years and it still works and have no had a lot of issues with it.

Well, it looks like that Amazon deal is over and I missed out. Unfortunate.

In that case I'll take second prize - while Gamestop is selling at MSRP, I do have some trade credit saved up there. It's not as much as 60, but this seems like the best time to use it.

Target.com has them for that price. Amazon just sold out.

Are there any decent 4K HDR TVs that are around 500-700 dollars to use with the PS4 Pro?

My main concern is input lag as well for it.

Take a little time and go thru this thread and the PS4 thread, I believe there are a few suggestions & links for what you're looking for.

I'm sure some of the tv obsessed in here will give you a few links as well.

It's gonna be difficult to find ones around that price range that will do HDR properly, plenty can decode the HDR signal but they won't be able to replicate the correct pictures because they lack the proper color spectrum. Check out the LG 7 series and above, Samsung 8000 series and above, Sony 850D and above and Vizio M & P series. All these sets will do 120 hz, so it'll be good for sports as well.

                          I'd probably recommend these 2:

Vizio is $599, Samsung is $899. The Samsung one will be far superior.

Got the PS4 Pro for 15% off, the M series is 15% off at Target as well. Any thoughts? I have to get a 55" regardless of what I get based on my room, etc. I have a 50" now, pretty bright room. I was between it and the KU6300 from Samsung (which is $549 if I can find one in stock).

The problem with the 6300 is that it can decode the HDR signal, but it doesn't have the colors to truly replicate the correct colors, I know you can get a 55" KS8000 for like $999 right now.

Yeah, really like the KS8000, but if I can get a M series for $600, I like the cost savings there.
