Dude I spent forever with the last boss in that game, I think I must've just upgraded the wrong weapons or something. It was ridiculous.

Same. I want Yakuza 0 too but I'm waiting to finish up Resident evil 7 before buying it. I want to try to finish games before moving onto the next one.
I didn't get a chance to play it last night, but apparently the pre-order/launch is a "Business Executive" Edition. I'm not sure what, if any, game items it includes, but it had a pretty nice metal business card holder. Inside was a business card for each character. Its pretty snazzy.
Plus, with the Prime discount it was about $48. Not bad.

I played up to the first boss fight. Dude kicked my butt for an hour before I gave up. Going to start over on normal difficulty. Hard might be too punishing for Yakuza novice like myself.

Halfway through Yakuza 4 you have to fight one of the series' protagonist (who you actually control after this battle as one of the main protagonists in the game) and it was a bitch. I think it took a week for me to figure that out.

I had been working my way through Yakuza 5 and just finished it up last night. Awesome game, now I'm on to 0.
I learned in Yakuza 3 that normal mode can be punishing enough. Hard got kind of crazy. The last two fights in Yakuza 5 were a bit tricky, but luckily I had enough health supplements to get through them.
I've only played about an hour of Yakuza 0, but going to that immediately after finishing 5 is pretty cool. The visuals have improved, the new fighting mechanics look and feel good, and it's just great to be able jump right back into this awesome world. Yakuza is a great series -- I would like more western games to follow their formula as far as the balance between action and story telling go.
