Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Just ordered a Nacon Pro controller. Should be here Thursday. Looked a scuf controllers but hard for me to get a read on the quality of the product. Too many YouTube reviews seem to be sponsored by them. Still considering scuf impact if I don't like the naconComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I get Minecrafts reach and impact, but I don't think Sony should be too concerned with the decision they made. I still mess around with the game and I know there's a serious market for it among a variety of age groups. I also wouldn't be surprised if someone made their upgrade decision based on Minecraft. If I do the math out loud based on my personal interests.. Minecraft Realms vs a plethora of exclusive gaming opportunities that MSFT isn't delivering right now. I'll take the latter.
It's a good thing the market is going strong and we all have choices to be made.Last edited by AUChase; 06-14-2017, 02:53 AM.Comment

Plus the sticks are staggered like an Xbox controller (if that's your sort of thing).

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
That's what I thought but kind of defeats the purpose. I was hoping to be able to switch it over and have all my games on it but the reformatting wipes it clean correct? I'll just stick with the 1TB drive and add an external.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'd love to grab the Nacon given the price point compared to the Scuf, but I would mainly be playing Destiny (and Destiny 2) on it so any potential issues would make it a pass.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Have you (or your son) tried it with Destiny? I've heard that the controller has issues specifically with that game on the right thumb stick. I almost bought it for Destiny 2 but am considering the Scuf Impact after GamingJones comments on it.

But as you know I'll be playing Destiny 2 (I'm in the beta as well) so I can def let you know down the road.
You're right about the price point, it's great.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Sony deciding for me what's best for me has long been my biggest gripe with them. In the case of Minecraft, I've never played the game so it doesn't affect me directly. But like with Bethesda mods and especially EA Access, something will come along that Sony makes a decision on that is going to tick me off. Let the market dictate these things, not your "Daddy knows best cuz he's Daddy" attitude.
I'm not loyal to one over the other, loyalty just hurts the consumer. However it takes me a fraction of the time to jump back to an MS console as my main multiplatform game console simply because of Sony's arrogance. It's a shame cuz I thought their E3 was terrific, as it usually is.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
You should easily be able to have both if you want. This is just Sony being Sony. "For the gamers" went out the window a while ago I guess.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I have never played Minecraft either, it looks plain terrible. And no, it being in 4K doesn't help either, if anything it makes it look worse.
With that being said, for those who do like it, is it just an addictive game or what is the appeal?Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'm not into Minecraft but have played it a bunch with my kids. My kids are addicts. I look at this way, ever have an empty box of Lego's and then make something? That's Minecraft. My kids design homes, villages, cities, etc. Then they figure out ways to destroy them or add rooms inside. My son had a 5 story building with rooms, wings, portals, etc. It was very cool. Minecraft isn't the point though.Comment
