I have no plans of buying a 4K tv. I also have no plans of buying a Slim either, but if for some reason I needed to purchase a new PS4, then that is what I'll go with.

And better performance? I've seen the Pro being played on both 4K TV's and standard tv. I just don't see enough of a difference to justify spending an additional $200. I'd rather save that money and buy games or start sitting aside for when the PS5 comes out.
I stalk people on OS and make obscene replies

But money IS a huge part of this conversation. If money wasn't an object everyone would buy the PS4 Pro and yet very few people are buying it compared to the Slim. I just purchased a Slim a few months ago to have a second PS4 so my kids and I could game online together. With the great Slim bundle offers it was going to cost me at least an extra C$200 to upgrade to the Pro. That's a significant chunk of change for what some perceive to be a minor upgrade. I have a 4K TV (although it's upstairs and not where I game) and I didn't pull the trigger.

Money is relative though. When I was 20 years old $400 was like $10,000. Now at 47 $400 is a rather small amount and $200 is well worth having a superior machine in my opinion. So I know no one here has a total disregard for money like they're a Bill Gates or something but it's viewed a lot different depending upon ones individual situation.

If you are buying a second PS4 for the kids I'd say probably get a slim too. But for my personal gaming I want to have the absolute best gaming experience so for me anyways, it's well worth $200 more to assure that. 4K tv or not, I want the most powerful processor, not second best.

This is a never-ending argument or debate it seems lol. For me, I don't see how anyone who has played a Pro on a good 4k TV with proper HDR as it being a minor upgrade. I guess some games you don't see that jump, but NBA, HZD, ME:A, all are so much better looking and smoother on my Pro than my Vanilla PS4 and the differences are not close at all IMO.......and I am so old that I don't notice framerate and other issues like that as much as the next person. Just my .02

I agree. It's all perception. Some people think it's a big upgrade and others do not. I have no idea myself as I've never seen one in action. All personal opinion really. I never liked it when there was a huge argument over this in the past either. People should just state their opinion and leave it at that although I would love to see a poll on this.

If I ever see a good trade in offer at EB Games I will pull the trigger. I remember trading in an OG PS3 for a new slim PS3 and it cost me under C$100. I would definitely do a deal like that but I don't see it happening. For me the difference was closer to C$225 after taxes and I also got UC4 which I sold. I think ODogg is lowballing the money difference myself. It's always been a big factor in console sales.

I love my Slim. Dual Band WiFi and it's small.

For me, until they start broadcasting sports and/or get 4k on PS Vue, I have no incentive to get a 4k TV.

Received an email today from Sony stating that effective the October billing cycle, the Vue Core package will be increasing in price to $44.99/mo. Still a great deal, but hope this isn't a trend of rising costs with the platform.

I had the 44.99 Core package for a bit and it was well worth it.

Feel the same way especially since I do not get the same kick out of playing games like Uncharted stuff like that. I have Direct TV and that's only 1080i so for me there is no point in upgrading to a 4K especially at current prices.

DirectTv does have some 4K stuff available now. Not much but they do. Bell TV offers nothing over here unless you get FibeTV which is only in certain markets.

I love my launch day PS4 but now that I've spent a few hours using my new Pro I'm quite impressed. The visuals alone are amazing. I started the campaign over in titanfall 2 and it looks great incredible. Everything is so clear and crisp and real!

Couple questions , do you guys leave boost mode on all the time?
In games like horizon zero dawn to you select performance or resolution?
                              Thats it for now, thanks.
