Agreed! Given what they've been able to do with The Show on PS3, I can't wait to see what they do on the PS4. I'm really hoping that they'll start appealing more to customization side of Sports Gaming though. I'm honestly surprised that with how long The Show has been out now, we still haven't gotten an option to Create A Team, Create A Stadium or Relocate A Team. And no, Diamond Dynasty definitely doesn't count.

I agree, I can't wait to see what SCEA has up their sleeve for the next generation of The Show.

I think a big thing will be an influx of stats. The huge increase in RAM should allow every player to have Baseball Reference-like detail for game logs, career stats, splits, situational stats, etc. And the presentation will be able to call up that stuff on the spot.

Animations should see a huge improvement too (they are already pretty great IMO). Personalized fielding/throwing animations, better variety of swing followthroughs, etc.

In other words... IT GUN BE GOOD.

The potential for the show games on the next generation of consoles is insane. I can't freaking wait.

my wish for PS4...i know SCEA focus on MLB the Show as their prime sports...but could they expand to NHL? Simple wish

heheeh.... I know they produced NHL faceoff in the past...hoping they could do that again

Even as a person who loves making the dollar bill, I'm tired of hearing about console flipping. Let's get this thread centered on the console itself and the games.

With that being said, here's a few franchises I wouldn't mind seeing revived on the PS4:

Banjo Kazooie
Virtua Tennis
Syphon Filter
Warhawk
NBA Street
Burnout

If I could get two of those, I'd be pretty stoked.

I just hope that with the upgraded system specs they have enough in the tank to fix the bugs that tend to show up at release. I'm one of the fortunate ones that doesn't see many but if this series had a black eye it would be that.

I'd like to see more of Socom. Especially getting back to theior roots.

Also Fatal Frame and really any new horror/horror survivor games.
I just hope we don't have a gen of FPS after FPS.

NBA Street needs to make a glorious return. As does SSX Tricky. SSX was fun, but it felt like it was in the middle of a moderate sim and an arcade game.

I completely agree and hope they bring back Syphon Filter. Definitely some of my favorite games on the ps1. The games for it on ps2 were great too. What you know about that taser man. I would love to see a new Syphon Filter on the next gen systems. I would be all for a new NBA Street and Virtua Tennis as well. Virtua Tennis on the dreamcast was a very fun game.

SSX was one of my favorite games when I got the PS2. I definitely wouldn't mind them bringing it back if they'd "mature" the game a bit.

NBA Street is still my favorite take on basketball video games, strangely.
