Sony don't care as long as PS4s continue to sell and there's no signs of them slowing down. They easily have the room for price drops and first party content to milk it until 2020, where radically better CPU, GPU, and Memory architecture will be available and fit for a console at a reasonable price point. Not to mention 10nmFF node process without the premiums.

You are getting very very little increase in delta performance over X1X on this architecture. They could push a new box out in 2019, but again, if sales are still good and X1X isn't really gaining significant market share beyond just X1 owners upgrading, there's no point rushing out new hardware.

Best Buy doesn’t match any deals from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday.

Was able to score a pro from best buy for 350. Looks like best buy, Amazon, target, and Wal-Mart matched game stop silently without advertising.

I do not have nor am I going to buy a 4K TV in the near future. I picked up the PS4 Slim 1 TB hard drive for $199 plus a $50 Gamestop gift card. At that price I had to buy the thing already.

It felt like a Windows computer on boot and setup. It will take time to get used to the interface after a decade on the 360 and the PS3. The graphics are shockingly good. I mean I knew they were better than last gen but it looks just unreal and I have only play Everybody's Golf and FIFA 16. Could not be happier with the purchase.

Welcome to the PS4! Great deal on the Slim and yeah, graphics are a nice upgrade from PS3, even on non-4K TV's.

Yeah that is what I mean though is that sales are still good and even with switch and now xbox one x out ps4 sales are still going great so I just don't see a need for Sony to come out with a new system. Making new systems cost a lot of money with R&D and with most systems being sold at a lose when they first come out. So I don't see them spending that kind of money if they don't have to if ps4 sales are still strong and I kind of fell like them showing something with ps5 less then 2 years after ps4 pro would kind of turn people off. I do wonder if Sony would maybe come out with a ps4 slim pro or something though and I also wonder if Sony will drop ps4 price down to 250 soon besides it just being 199 for the holiday times. Also wonder when ps4 pro will drop in price. I thought they would drop it to 350 once xbox one x came out but they didn't.

Profit margins. There's just no pressure to drop price when the Pro is selling well and already $100 less. Best to save official price drops for next year around a big first party title, like God of War or Spider-Man.

That $199 slim was a killer deal. I'm glad Sony started the sale early. I picked mine up last Sunday with no hassle.

Picked up the pro on black Friday. Even with a 1080p tv this thing is gorgeous. Every game feels new again. First thing right away is frame rate. If your annoyed with stutters and dropped frames upgrade.

It's all about the games! MS has no killer first party games and I can't believe they didn't have one to launch with the X. Look at the Nintendo Switch, inferior to both PS4 and XB1X but it's flying off the shelves because of the games! I was tempted to get an X but everything that's available to play I can do on my PS4 Pro.

i have a question

i got a pro a few months back and i transfered all my stuff from old ps4 to pro... and today i went play the old ps4 and none of the stuff i did recently was on any of the games i play.

i thought u could just switch back and forth and all saves etc would be there since using gamertag on another ps4???

or am i doing something wrong? thanks

You can upload saved files to cloud storage, and then go to that cloud storage and download them to your other PS4.

I believe you can set a time every day (24 hours) that you want the PlayStation to automatically upload to said cloud storage; I believe it at the very least needs to be on rest mode for that to work. You will still have to manually download them to the other PS4 though.

For those unaware that use Incognito Mode to appear offline is Apparently Broken atm

If you noticed this & have tried to change ur status to offline It won't work lots of complaints over on psn fourms about this appears those of us that were in it Have Automatclly been Put back to showing online

Hopefully Sony gets this fixed asap..
