Agreed. If thrre is discussions about some of the schematics and capabilities about the console, then I'll will be satisfied.
I wouldn't be surprised either, but seems verly unlikely. The lastest I think would be late Nov 2021, but that seems like a stretch. 2020 is my preference. I just want have at least 1.5 years worth of development to plan for it

While i just think we may get it in late 2019 because by than it will be 3 years from ps4 to ps4 pro and 3 years from pro to ps5. Also with what Sony said about this years e3 that makes me think we may get very little about new stuff and so that makes me think we are going to get LOU2, ghost of tsushima and Death stranding all between 2018 and 2019 and so ps5 like right after in late 2019 kind of like how LOU was one of the last big games on ps3 before ps4 came out. I could also see ps5 in 2020 though because ps4 sales are still doing so good and i dont really see that slowing down any time soon with the games still to come to ps4.

It would be nice if they came out with 2 different versions of the PS5 or options to build your own with Pre Orders sort of like a cpu.

Unless they offer the Pro super cheap I doubt it. The cheap consoles extend the console quite a bit. I don’t think the Pro or XBox 1 have a significant share of the market. The Slim will still be sold for quite awhile I’m guessing.

They will making games for the PS4 on up until 2021 they announced. So that have me to believe the PS5 should be coming out in 2020.

I expect the PS5 to be out in 2020.

I think the announcement of the PS4 being at the end of its life cycle was two fold. One telling investors that sales are going to start declining (which they already have I believe) and two telling the gaming community that the PS5 is in development and will be both announced and released in a short window. (Announced in 2019 and released in 2020...per speculation on my part)

I'm completely contempt with it staying as long as it has to. I like to get more bang for my buck, always. While we always jump to a new generation of console, I'd like for it to live a nice long while, even if it means game improvement appears stagnant along the way. I'm so backlogged in my PS3 games even that it's not even funny lol.
