I thought I would take a moment to share my short, positive experience opposed to some negative experiences some others have had with Sony.

My wife purchased Battlefield V for me through PSN, but I wished she had got the Deluxe Edition because the majority of our clan will be playing 5 days early.

I contacted Sony Customer support and asked for a refund and they obliged without hesitation. I know this isn't everyone's experience, which sucks, but just think there's plenty of negativity on the web about Sony and just like restaurant reviews.. they aren't all negative. I'm not a fanboy or anything, but it is my preferred console, controller, etc.

Me: My wife purchased the standard edition of Battlefield V for me, digitally through the Playstation Store. Is there any way to refund it or pay the difference to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition of the game ?
Me: My only concern is I see the free theme with the game downloaded itself to my console and there's a countdown timer available for the release of the game.

Josselyn: I can provide you the steps so you can change the email.
Me: I couldn't find an option to update it without access to my old e-mail.

Josselyn: The refund has been completed back to the wallet, you will see the funds available in https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com > Wallet section now and I’ve sent the confirmation email of the refund.
Josselyn: You can pre-order the deluxe edition whenever you want.
Josselyn: Now, in order to change the email from the PS4, you can go to settings> Account management> Account information> Sign in ID email address, there you will be prompt to enter a new email, keep in mind that is not necessary to have access to the old email but the new one.

Josselyn: Once done, you will receive an email confirmation saying the email associated to the account has been changed, as well you will receive another email asking you to verify the new sign in ID.
Josselyn: The email can also be changed from the website using a computer.
Josselyn: Do you want to have those steps as well?
Me: I think I've found it on the computer.
Me: Yep. I've just found it and it's just asking me confirm the new e-mail I changed ot.

I have a few questions for everyone. The last PlayStation I owned was a PS2 so it's been a while lol. First to watch Netflix or other streaming services do I have to subscribe to any services other than the streaming channel I want to watch? Second is there a game pass type of service for PlayStation?

You don't need a Plus account to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc.

PlayStation Now is what Sony has in terms of a game pass service. Not sure how many people here use it, but I don't, so can't speak on if it's worth having/using.

If the game is not out yet they should give you the money back and not a PSN credit. Not my experience with them as they did not want to refund me a pre order a week before the game came out. Also the fact that you wanted to spend more makes it easier for them to give you a store credit knowing they are going to make more money from you.

I would have been far more impressed if they offered to refund you the actual money. But am glad you getting the game early for the clan

It does suck how subjective they can be with their policies.

I have a friend who tried to do the same thing I did and they told him it couldn't be refunded so he called back a second time and someone else did it for him.

I believe it’s much better now that you can download the games instead of straight streaming them.

They told you why. They have nothing new to show you unless they replay the same trailers they did last year.

Sony is going to let 2019 ride out with sales on ps4 and Days Gone and Ghost of Tshushima as their titles for 2019

In 2020 they will announce the ps5 in their even but no price and no release date as well as no specs.

In 2020 E3 they will announce the release date, specs, and price of the console as well as release date for LOU2 and Death Stranding and November 2020 release of ps5

I’m betting they push it to Ps5 release unfortunately so it can be a launch title. I still think it will play on PS4 though. Kind of a BOTW situation with Nintendo.

BF sales are live on PSN. A one-year subscription of PS+ is $40 there for anyone who wants to renew.

Interesting rumor and the person who is saying this predicted Sony not being at e3 like 2 days before we found out that was going to happen.
