Do we have to have PlayStation Plus to get the PF deals?.

I don't use online features much so I only get PP, for certain games.

I don't think so. There's usually a gold banner where it shows the discount % with the Plus logo if it's a Plus only discount. These banners are all blue, so I think they apply to everyone.

Surprised to see any version of Red Dead 2 with a discount already. Think I'm picking up NHL at $30, at the very least.

Sony is going to let 2019 ride out with sales on ps4 and Days Gone and Ghost of Tshushima as their titles for 2019

In 2020 they will announce the ps5 in their even but no price and no release date as well as no specs.

In 2020 E3 they will announce the release date, specs, and price of the console as well as release date for LOU2 and Death Stranding and November 2020 release of ps5
Pretty much this except for a few of the games. I believe that Death Stranding will be September 2019 as Kojima and his team have been working at a much more consistent pace under Sony than they ever did at Konami. I see Ghost of Tsushima as the early 2020 game and TLOUP2 as Summer 2020 to be the swan song for PS4 like the original was for PS3.

Don't see any of them being cross-gen especially since based on reports and patents, Sony will have PS4 BC on PS5 so no real reason to make them cross-gen when buying the PS4 game and downloading a patch will accomplish the same thing without actually being cross-gen. Basically, similar to what Microsoft does to "X enhance" games like RDR and others.

No E3 2019 showcase is definitely disappointing as Sony's showcase has been my best for three years in a row but im expecting them to go all out in 2020 for the end of PS4 and the launch of PS5 which in a way is fine by me because they haven't disappointed me yet in 23 plus years so I honestly can't complain.

I also think that Sony doesn't want to spend the huge amount of money that it costs for E3 as well as PSX 2018 and will most likely put that saved money into PS5 which to be honest, if I had to choose, I would much rather see them put the extra money into PS5 since I care more about that than I do the end of PS4 because PS4 is pretty much my second best console of all time and game wise, their quality is above and beyond all so I truly can't complain.

Now, if they screw up the PS5 launch, then it becomes a different story but that remains to be seen.

Sony knows what they are doing. Anything they try turns to profit

PS NOW is not customer friendly as they must pay to play games they own already.

          But people flock to it.

I bought the red dead 2 bundle yesterday and this thing is worst than the previous one.

The disc of red dead spins like crazy for 5 minutes even when I am playing another digital downloaded game

And in BO4 when I aim down to shoot the game lags like the opponent is using a glitch or something which makes my fast rapid fire gun shot one shot at a time

Not sure what is going on

            Might have to exchange it

You probably have a defective console and you should definitely return it. I have had the PS4 Pro since launch and thankfully, no problems whatsoever and actually pretty quiet too. Console does heat up but only if im playing all day.

I don't give two craps about PS Now but according to a recent report, it's doing extremely well which is very surprising as when I tried it a while back, it sucked and was total crap.

Paying to play games they already own is the same thing that Nintendo did with their Virtual Console on Wii and Wii U. At the end of the day, if you millions and millions of people willing to pay for those games, why wouldn't you do it? In this regard, I blame the gamers. Don't like it, don't buy it but if you do, you can't complain about the company charging you for it simply because they wouldn't if nobody would buy them.

Luckily for me, I don't care about all the previous gen games. They all had their time and for me, it's present and future that matters.

I'm still going to say that despite being playable via BC with an updated patch, Death Stranding and TLOUP2 will be released months before PS5 launches.

My prediction for launch titles will be Bloodborne 2 (Japan Studio, not via From Software), Ratchet & Clank 2 (Insomniac) and Killzone 5 (secondary team at Guerrilla Games). Add in Destiny 3, COD 2020 and a bunch of other cross-gen third party multi-platform games and PS5 will be good to go.

What really has me hyped for PS5 is the rumor by the guy who leaked Sony not being at E3 2019 about the PS5 being a "monster", having the Ryzen 8 core CPU and being $500. I'll be very happy with this as I don't want a mid-gen console. Prefer one awesome console even if it's more expensive at launch simply because that means from day one, every developer and publisher has the full capabilities at their disposal where as with mid-gen, feels like the first three years were less than what they could/should/would have been and even now, not every developer/publisher takes advantage of the PS4 Pro and/or Xbox One X.

I also believe that next gen will be 5 years and 2025 will be PS6 with them moving to native 8K or higher. I don't think next gen will last 7 to 8 years like the current generation or last generation did which is why I think Sony goes all out and if needed, will take a loss on the console because they'll make it up with PlayStation Plus subscriptions alone.

But before all that, 2019 in general is stacked with me possibly buying 20 to 30 games and that doesn't include games that haven't been announced yet but are expected like Watch Dogs 3, Mortal Kombat XI, Rocksteady's next game and possibly WB Montreal's next game.

And of course, I can't wait for Days Gone on April 26th which is perfect because it's after the onslaught of quarter one games and better off letting them all fight it out while as of now, April and May are literally dead months thus far. After that, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima and TLOUP2 before PS5.

What an amazing time to be a gamer and im happy that I decided to start racking up credit at GameStop in preparation for next gen. This way, if I decide to jump in day one, I can do so without any worries.

Another ratchet game would be great love the franchise I think Horizon zero dawn 2 will be a launch game to. I known people talk about ps3 and its 600 price and how 400 is good and all but video games are like the one thing that have stayed the same price really. You cant expect consoles to be 400 for ever. 500 and a little more powerful I think would be a good balance compared to 400 and maybe not that powerful and 600 and people saying it cost to much. I cant wait to see what rocksteady is doing I love the Arkham games and Ghost I cant wait for to it looks great. I think ps5 will end up being like march 2020 and I hope it is BC and has a 4k bluray player so I can trade in my ps4 and 4k player and save some space and money on ps5 that way and hopefully it will up ps4 games to 4k. I would love to be able to play games like spiderman, Horizon, GOW etc in 4k still rocking slim ps4 and dont want to buy a ps4 pro when ps5 is not really that far off most likely. Ps6 I think will than be late 2025-2026 so more like the older 5-6 years and I think it will do some 8k but most games will be 4k or in-between 4k and 8k because 8k is still a long way off really considering I have yet to see a place that sales 8k and have yet to hear of any one buying a 8k tv.

Not many people are buying 8K TV's but few people were buying 4K TV's a few years ago. Seven years from now, 8K TV's will probably be cheap like the majority of 4K TV's are.

March 2020 is a rumor but im hoping for September 2020 because it lines up with their 25th Anniversary in North America and gives the games an extra six months of development time.

For PS5, really hoping that Ryzen rumor is true and has 16GB RAM, an 8TF GPU and a 1TB SSD. I'll be so happy!!!

I think that 8TF allows the developers to get to native 4K with every game because if 4.2TF in the Pro can do it for some games, then 8TF should definitely do it. Also, I don't think they will jump from 4.2TF to between 10 and 15. Just no way. Would be too expensive. As long as every game can hit native 4K, give me full HDR and a locked 30FPS, I'll be satisfied.

I think the new consoles should all be doing games at 4K and 60 FPS. I will be disappointed if all games can’t do that.

I’m not even going to worry about 8K either. I don’t think people will be able to see the difference between 4K and 8K unless their eyeballs are less than 2 feet from the screen.
